Started the day with piles of torso parts and the backpacks. I hate it when broad nubs are on the curve ends of the beam sabers, right next to the protruded edge of the handle. I managed to clean the areas up without gouging or squaring them off. Of course, that raised lines on the saber docks the manual clearly says 'Do not cut' were shaved off at the start. Oh well, it's not like they're going to be seen anyway once these Cores are shrouded in Planet Armor. Now for the torsos themselves. In hindsight, I should have put some dark paint behind the clear parts on the Mk2 and G3 chests because the gray and white plastic shows underneath. I didn't cement them in place, so I can try to pick these parts off and do it later. I didn't set the collar plates yet because I want to paint the recessed areas on them. Now for the Defenser shields, and where I can start preparing to paint. I applied some panel line accent to each subassembly as I went along. I will need to paint the camera sensors, but that can be done in due time. What I need to do at this point is mix my pan batch of paint for the Titans Core. I used a couple of my bottled violet gray and purple mixes and added the necessary gray to get a close enough match. My paint went on bright, but dried a little darker. What you don't see yet is I painted the details on the head with it too. This about takes care of this kit and I still have enough paint saved in the pan (under a seal of packaging tape) in case I need to patch any mistakes and finish the head.
i got that same MG RX-0 at my local HOBBY TOWN USA about three/four years back. more recently, -maybe a year/year-and-a-half ago- i upgraded to the PG;
I just about finished painting the Core Gundam mk2 pair. I still need to clean up my lines on the shields but since it's a bottled mix, I don't need to rush like I did on the Titans Core. All that's left of this part of the grind is the G3, and then the optics.
I am fully expecting my *massive* Expo order (except the McDonalds Ambassador Gundam, that's November) to arrive today. Along with Crossover Gigawatt because Pulse ended up shipping just in time for that guy to make it on the same day (I got notified the package was on the truck an hour away from me and would ship next business day)

Because "Oh Japan." It's not like this is the first time we've seen Nike cross promotions like this.. I mean considering the "Megatron" inspired Megatron pair of shoes that came with a Thrilling 30 figure and in-scale football. - A pile of heads on my bench... just another day in the shop, am I right? Well, last night actually at this point. Everything is just about ready for final assembly. I'm leaving the crest jewels with a stem of runner gate attached so they don't get lost until I need them. I clipped the safety nubs off the tips and sanded the back sides of the v-crests. They're much sharper and flatter than they were when I started. I put some panel accent around the edges of the helmet and on the bridge of the noses. This allowed me to set on the mask plates so they were secured, and then started priming eyes and camera sensors. And tonight, some teal and silver acrylic mixed to paint over said eyes. Just one coat to start, it might take a second before I glaze it in clear teal. I also did this for the large sensor on the nose of the Core Defensers and rifle sights.

I don't think I looked closely enough at them before, but on top of the articulation updates for the Dom "1.5" kits, I also think they're using the Sazabi/Nightingale "Emotion Manipulators". The original MG Dom hands were already decently articulated, but I'm seeing the jointed thumb and the larger spread range from the pre-built hands in the poses.
