So, a whole lotta G1, G1 but slightly different, Prime if it were as boring as G1 and slight sprinkles of actually interesting stuff.

I think we're overestimating how much space those would take up. Plus, we're likely talking scale for robot mode, where the humanoid cassettes have usually been decently sized, at least compared to Soundwave. Even for the cartoon's, to be frank, stupid scale problems, Rumble is usually drawn as being a bit shorter than a deluxe, about to Soundwave's waist. Which would be about the size of him as a Core-class figure in relation to other deluxes and Soundwave's toy.

And comparing that to Rattrap's size based off this picture, it'd be pretty spot-on for his robot scale.

Potentially so. If its true that its classic characters in new modes then its pointless to speculate on it, we just dont know what they look like until its revealed.

I hope we get some exclusive info soon - I want Crosscut and a few others and I’m hoping they pop up soon. Walmart is pretty much locked in but Target and Amazon stuff hasn’t been revealed much. Not going to @Jtprime17 on this since he said no earlier about revealing exclusives.

If Studio Series were to release their version of the G1 Ratchet, pace 1986 movie as they did with Jazz, I'd like to see that. Ratchet is one of those characters who has consistently been an evergreen, but has a high ratio of "number of figures / decent figures."

I like the TFPrime version, but that seems to be rare. The Siege one is a great re-imagining of the G1 character as an action master. But the alt mode is kinda throw-away. Dr Evil making finger quotes says "Space Ambulance."

And you'd have to jump through hoops of exclusives/packages and deal with parts-forming (and after-market $$ and fiddle-dee-do) to make the ER a convincing alt mode.

So, the 1986 movie killed off Ratchet, coldly, so they could score cheap pathos from the horror-struck kiddos and mark that they were discontinuing a low-selling toy they had hitherto highlighted as a top-tier character. But then they release a movie toy of the character, anyway? Delicious.

'Shine' is the codename of toys presumably belonging to the Transformers: Rise game by Certain Affinity. It is likely that this internal codename came from the term 'Rise & Shine'.

Yes, but Hasbro tends to go more off the scale charts for WFC, even if the size frequently varied from the height depicted there in the cartoon itself. In both truly official scale charts we have for the G1 cartoon, the humanoid Cassette boys are pegged at being human height, and that's what Hasbro's done with them so far in WFC by making them Micromasters.

Perhaps this Core-class Rumble, specifically to offer an alternative to the Micromaster humanoid Casetticons that have already been released, will be enlarged to be in line with how the Casetticons were sized in the cartoon. But there's still an equal if not larger chance it may yet be as orangeitis describes, being the "ER Deluxe Cliffjumper" or "SS86 Voyager Hot Rod" of Core class.

Nah, they're human-sized. The Siege cassettes are about the right size.

So when we finally get a showcase of Rise we'll know what he looks like. Good to know at least.

Hm. I don't know if I agree with the scale chart (which is basically blasphemy, I know) for the cassettes, but it does seem to be accurate to the Siege toys. I'm still hoping I'm right, those, since I want Netflix Soundwave to have what Masterpiece Soundwave has with the MMC Cassettes.

Well no, it's not "blasphemy", it's just that as a general rule of thumb, animation companies use scale charts as guides for how the characters "supposed" to look and how large they are in comparison to each other. These are especially important for the G1 cartoon, as there were way too many animation errors and variable sizes. But if you want different sizes of figures than what's presented, that's valid too. =D
