I think if we were told which of the shine figures would be retooled into Starscream it would reveal a little too much about the shine packs

I'd maybe pick up Skywarp, but Thundercracker is just Super Starscream to me, and I'm not playing the exclusive game for a guy I already have.

Also, does anyone else hate that the wiki tries to pass off Armada and Cybertron chars as the same guys? Would it kill them to just make separate pages for them?

Honestly, unless we get super modes for other characters the only starscream repaint I'm interested in is ramjet

Haha no need to apologize for a "rant". Im the king of ranting and I bet this response will be rant length lol..

I'd rather a long explanation of a viewpoint then a singl sentence response that doesn't support a stance. I always laugh when adults complain a multiparagraph post is "too long".

And I agree with everything you said.

I was exaggerating a bit with my total g1 regurgitation comment lol. I am emotionally exhausted myself from primes, bumblees, starscreams and megatrons in any lines at this point. With that said, sadly I'd probably take a better earthrise prime with a rodimus prime level trailer and no butt wheels, 86 van bros reduxes, and more g1 faithful headmasters instead of the retros over say Armada combiner prime and friends....even though I really like the original and have all the variants (except ice magnus as 1000+ for the lucky draw is just too much). G1 was first to my heart and that's not going to change 30 years later.

From that perspective, I'd just like to get a near complete g1 reboot line, and as it nears completion, I'd be okay with more lines sprinkled in at a larger rate. As it stands, I'm a consumer and I'm buying with my own wants in mind not what other fans want or what's best for the long term health of the line, and I'm just lucky enough to be on the side with the larger consumer base.

If I wasn't, I'd be vocal for a bit and if nothing changed, I'd move on and spend my entertainment dollars elsewhere. I certainly wouldn't be crying daily about a particular toy line not being represented enough and constantly calling others derogatory comments over being particular with what toys they spend their money on like I see some people do.

With all consumer products, the largest base wins. Thats life. It doesn't even fall into the fair not fair domain because these are luxury entertainment products....not life necessities.

I think it's important to keep the larger base happy at all costs because while I wouldn't mind seeing a g1 style DJD, I don't think it's wise from a business standpoint to go out of your way to appease the fan base of an era that can't sell 2500 worth of 4 dollar comics based on IDW characters instead of catering to a g1 fanbase that will spend hundreds of dollars on MP and 3rd g1 toys that sell in vastly superior numbers.

In the end, I'd like to see every fan from every era get everything they'd want as I know I would pick here and there as well. However as a consumer Im looking out for my best interests first as I would expect everyone else to do. They just need to understand sales and buyer base are going to be the final determiner not impassioned relentless online vocal support from a much smaller base.

How does Elita look by the way?

Is SS86 Arcee at least a better painted version of Earthrise Arcee?

How will they G1ifie transformers prime Arcee, it better not be groove but female, If it is styled more after general CHUG, then thats fine, since the prime Arcee basically already was made. G1 and CHUG are very different styles, like a G1 bulkhead would likely be very bland, but a chug could pull parts from animated, Prime, and maybe if they wanted to Energon

honest question – how many times has Starscream been made that we haven't gotten both or at least one?

Energon and Cybertron are 2 of the only I can think of off the top of my head... Was there ever a Bayverse Skywarp?

(Cybertron's a fun outlier since we got a Thrust-colored Starscream and Dirge from the mold, but no Ramjet/SW/TC - or G1-esque Starscream: seems like money in the bank to have made a 3 pack of the seekers back then)

Based on what's been described for Knock Out and Bulkhead by Apollux they appear to match the current WFC aesthetic. So use the term CHUGified if it works better for you.

Yeah, he was Wal-Mart exclusive iirc.

I think we'll get Armada Skywarp and Thundercracker, the Armada seekers were a cool bunch.

G1 classic pretender was Starscream alone
The machine wars starscream was a different toy than the skywarp and thundercracker but they were all released
Energon Starscream was closer to a skywarp than he was was starscream but there was no thundercracker.
Cybertron had a Machine Wars situation, thundercracker and skywarp were a diffrent mold
POTP Voyager Starscream was never repainted into the other seekers
The Starscream head on the CW mold was used for 3 starscreams but 0 other seekers
Bay had a lot of other seeker repaints throughout the first trilogy, the original voyager was original starscream, deep space, ramjet, thundercracker, g1 starscream, and Skywarp between 07 and 09, DOTM had the deluxe in TC and SW varieties.
TC and SW were relegated to Takara releases of teh FE mold, no presence in the US iirc

All in all, not impossible for Starscream to be a solo act

Theres a lot leaked already, but what else do you want in this next line.
    Personally my top 5 are:
    1. Roadbuster, I really want a chunky road buster, like the Thrilling 30s one is nice but the limbs are way to skinny for a proper Roadbuster, I really just want the Tank from the Wreckers comics tbh
2.Action masters given actual new transforming molds, like Banzaitron and Skyfall
    3. Lugnut, I mean , If Bulkheads here, then Lugnut needs to be with him, I need a display with good figures of the two
4.Bomb-burst, I love the pretender shell design and if the leaks are to be believed, Then a bat monster that turns into a Fighter Jet would be to die for, and at an affordable price.
5.Prime Vehicons, I mean, more like a vehicon verse that take inspiration from prime while also not, maybe we can have multiple in different classes, like one Core motorcycle, one Deluxe car, and one Voyager Truck or Helicopter

Does anyone else realize that the description of the updated pretenders just sounds like the old Skullgrin generations toy.
It is based on the pretender shell with the head and under body color scheme with it turning into the pretenders vehicle mode, a tank

My biggest want is Gears and any non show beast wars characters. We will inevitably get all the characters from the show (at least first season) so others would be incredible

I like the shell designs and I'm really looking forward to seeing Iguanus and Skullgrin. The problem with them is - Skullgrin notably - I really like the G1 robot and tank modes too, and especially the Masterforce animation model. What was nice about most of the G1 Pretender inner robots was how lean and kibble free they were. They'd really benefit from updated articulation!

Y'know when you have one of those flashes of inspiration out of thin air, and something just clicks in your head?

Well I just realised that if you cut down the nosecone and cockpit section, Armada Starscream's transformation is kiiiiiiiiiiinda broadly similar to IDW Stealth Bomber Megatron...

Didn't apollux say it was a different take ona core character? Sure, Bomber Megs has been done before, buuuuuuuut...
