Just because they're clones doesn't mean it needs to be totally look like SS86 Scourge. A different expression for his face would've suffice, and maybe another hand gesture to. Not just opening the other hand and a color swap and ship it. But hey you wanna spend more money on the same figure. Go right ahead bro. I'm done with this absurd "debate."

You're in the franchise where three of the most requested Decepticon figures are the same toy in blue and black, black and purple, and white, red and blue. That people specifically complained about having different heads.

Blame the movie for just making them Scourge but more.

And then other people would have complained about the movie accurate line having an inaccurate Scourge figure and not buying it. At least it being toy colours makes it a neat novelty, you change it too far from being Scourge and then people who already have Scourge will justs avoid it because, why bother? A Sweep figure is a hard enough sell and going toy accurate on colours at least makes it kind of a draw on that regard, particularly with Galvatron 2 being around and Armada's probable colours being Cyclonus' toy ones

You said Hasbro was "lazy" as if there was something wrong with the new Sweeps figure coming out because he looks... almost exactly like he is supposed to.

I get it, it would have been nice if the Sweeps had a different face or something.
But I'm not going to complain because characters who are clones look like exactly like each other.

 

Can one of the mods please for the love of god edit the first post to explain:

• PR is the code they use for a repack of a previously released figure.
• DK-3 is a blue remold of Trailblazer based on the Diaclone toy?

Lol I didn't buy it twice, I only bought Sweep cause I missed Scourge when he came out. But people army-building Sweeps would be buying the same toy anyways, so why not give them an optional alternate colour scheme?

How is changing the face the dividing line between "this is lazy" and "beautiful Hasbro now this is a perfect Sweep for my collection!" First of all, whenever they make the face anything but a neutral expression, people complain. This is because neutral expressions are more versatile for display.

Another thing to remember is that this was also meant to be an alternate release for Scourge. Hasbro knows that the collectors may want to army-build Sweeps, and they know some people prefer the G1 toy's colour scheme, so they decided to release a toy deco version of Scourge to kill 2 birds with 1 stone. This release, as well as Cyclonus' Armada, hurts absolutely no one, and provides an alternate colour scheme as well as another option for people looking to army-build.

 

And also, it appears as if the Weaponizer/Modulator/Fossilizer Gimmick isn't being carried over into the Legacy Line. This sort of disappoints me. I mean, it really was a great way to army-build, but now, it appears to be gone.
