Ah that's unfortunate. I wish it was common practice for exclusives to be packaged with plastic corner reinforcements to protect the contents from poor shipping treatment.
Whoa! I would be cheesed off with the paint job on the circles…it’s like the factory work didn’t care!
It may be one instance out of hundreds of units but I don't recall anyone reporting such sloppy paint application in retail Origins toys. I'm not saying Mattel is to blame, especially if this is an extremely rare instance of poor QC but it's a bad look not only because this is a limited release exclusive but more importantly a fan choice product. Kind of difficult to convince fans that you're really invested in them if this leaves the production line for shipment.
what did they post it from? a washing machine? brings me back to like 2002 and the month before Games Workshop released their newest army book and people were salivating and speculating over pictures sneakily taken with a brand new shitty digital camera
In what ways is Origins a cheap line? Being less expensive than other toys in the same aisle doesn’t equate to cheap;when comparing the actual toys I think they are overpriced for what you get for $16 compared to the more detailed, better articulated figures you get for $20.
Probably a perspective from the back of the room. Ah well, give it a few weeks everyone will be sick of seeing better images.
I was the one earlier in the thread with the terrible spotty crotch on my retail Tri-Klops's orange belt. Apparently this is going to be a thing with me and Tri-Klops now. I didn't mean cheapness in terms of price. The line is a ton of parts reuse and had the WWE Universe line to help spread parts budget around. Lot of solid colors being used and not too complex decos (usually), and simpler action figure engineering. Does plenty I like, don't get me wrong.
I hope someone at Mattel remembers the troop builder trope. How's the mini comic? Well when you workers are practicing child slaves...
i got one Mosquitor weeks ago from Entertainment Earth. If I see one in the wild, I’ll get it so I can display it with the alternative head.
Whoa?! Serious?! I was always given the impression it was made by er, older factory workers. *Edit: just checked that my He-man is made in China.
zavvi a big European retailer has preorders up for about a month now for Origins Horde Trooper for wave 8.
They said it's a "reprint" of the vintage mini comic "The Terror of Tri-Klops" but there has been some question as to weather or not it's new art or just a straight reprint.
