Their ironhide kit was $30 for a back brace and guns so this isn’t bad considering it’s replacing almost a 3rd of the figure.

Is the TT version even out? I mean, I pre-ordered Day 1, but then a few months ago Hobby Search sent out e-mails saying that it was "indefinitely postponed", and that pre-orders would be cancelled.

 

My bad I should've added more context. I just came to realise that mpm-04 (Optimus Prime) has two variations : Hasbro (Dark grey legs) and Takara (Light grey legs) , I thought maybe even this figure may have a variation. As the Takara promo pics have brown tinted windows with more paint details. Where as the Hasbro/Takara (blue tinted windows) is the one which is currently being sold. Just wanted to know whether this exact deco would ever be released by Takara in the future.

 

I hope so, Cause I'll be pissed if they pull a mpm-04 again

 

They haven’t been different since that figure due to brand unification.

 

They're doing it with Studio Series. So at least you're not paying $200 for a better paint job. Now you're paying damn near $40 for a Deluxe.

Actually scratch that, There are two versions one have a lighter gray plastic where as the other having a much darker grey (But I don't know which one is which ).

 

Man, I forgot how undesirable MPM-4 looks. Unless it's just the bad posing or slight mistransformation.

I do really LIKE him.
The typewriter hands, truck arms and small head aside, he really is enjoyable.

I do plan on getting the DNA kit but until then I’m going to enjoy him and I’m happy with him.

The eyes definitely needed some paint though and they turned out alright after a few coats!

 

Everybody knows Hasbro is 100% greed.

 

So do you like him or not? You said you'd gonna have a blast with him but also that you dislike him more than you thought you would.
