Interesting. I don't remember the packaging for those Deluxe figures at all, but I do remember the Bronx on the back of the Elemental Storm versions.

The Xanatos does look like the same packaging as Coldstone if I recall, but I don'tt hink I ever saw that one in stores.

 

Aw man, looks like those Goliaths direct from NECA that went up the other day are indeed arriving at doorsteps now. Kinda lame that if you pre-ordered right away you're still left waiting. Hope BBTS gets him in soon.

 

It's a great take leaning towards more realism in Goliath's design. I love the inclusion of the jalapeno accessory!

Personally, I'm hoping for a more animation model based design for the Gargoyles in toy form. I just love the cartoon aesthetics. An alternative design direction I'd love to see is:

 

I wanted to go in on these guys…not gonna fit in my display space, though. They do look awesome, I have to say. I might get Demona…she looks pretty good as well. Or, maybe the little toady looking guy, Lexington.

 

I'm not sure if I'll get any but Lexington and Brooklyn would be tempting. I love their characters and designs.

 

That Xanatos figure must be loosely based on that weird Xanatos computer program from the second Coldstone episode.

Jesus, the paint on the eyes is garbage. He's looking almost straight up and in two different directions.

Guess that's the Neca seal of quality for ya.  

Also damn, I really wish they'd included a set of more folded wings. Space concerns aside, the wings are sculpted in permanent flight, so more casual or ground poses are impossible.

 

The eyes in that video are baaad... but that may be a per figure basis. Mine are perfect

 

Yeah and a bit like "Coyote" his recurring robot double in the Pack.

 

I think this was a US exclusive or something, I remember reading something like that back when it went up. I'm guessing some licensing issue?

 

I received mine yesterday, the eyes are fine.

The wings bum me out. They look great if you need something to take up the whole shelf…haha…but I would have preferred something more articulated with some kind of soft goods membranes (like a thin fake leather material or something).

 

Or even hard plastic alternate folded/caped wings.
