I can't tell from the photos, but if you can rotate the blade, wouldn't it still be attached behind the hilt portion? I'm not seeing a place where the blade could be attached to the top of the hilt. The MP version looks like it lets you attach the blade to the top of the hilt.

 

They were also mainline releases that had to fit into specific price points, while this is a HasLab, and unlikely to get any extra accessories afterwards. Officially that is

The MP splits the tip of the nosecones in half and let's you tab in the blade. HasLab is doing a different method that's a bit simpler and also more toy accurate (despite the soon-to-be toon display option). With the toon sword being a second thought, it's pretty obvious vsaber is going for more toy accuracy

$180 and they still can't give him new blast effects? They haven't made any new ones since the Earthrise Battlemasters. I'm drowning in Jetfire and Omega Supreme blast effect pieces.

This model looks really cool, but I really need to see a colored model before I can get myself to put down money.

 

I would prefer that they figure out how to make them not take paint off first.

Hasbro can easily fund this themselves.

 

I feel like I should be annoyed by the same thing, but I’m really not. As long as they keep repainting Jetfire’s blasts and not Omega Supreme’s, I’m happy. His blast effects are by far my favorite looking anyways, and the more the better.

 

• Yes they can sure, but it’s a huge risk to do so when the character isn’t well known and so they’re letting people have a chance to get him if they want him.

Honestly cant wait. Just love how clean it looks in both modes.

 

Looks even better now. So streamlined and perfect! I skipped the Masterpiece because of how smooth and undetailed it was. This looks just like I want my Generations toys to be.
My only dilemma, do I buy two or one? Seeing how much Unicron goes for now, 1200 - 1600$, it would be a good investment to get an extra.

Guess you forgot the blast effects that come with SS86 Scourge, Hot Rod, Cyberverse Starscream, Soundwave and Prowl?

 

I’m now just glad I’m not the only adult who takes his planes and starfighter Transformers and waves them around while making engine noises.

 

Hasbro doesn't fund anything themselves without guaranteed orders and if you think they do then you are ignorant of how the industry (any industry really) works.
