I'm quite new to collecting and I'm in the legends space and I was just looking for some advice. I've been trying to build a G1 cartoon faithful collection focusing on covering off S1 characters and building from there. There's a few gaps that I'm not sure are down to my ignorance of they don't exist. I was hoping if people might confirm the following for me:

    No 3rd party legend model:
    - Windcharger
    - Gears (MFT is basically CHUG)

Only exist in Iron Factory and slightly stylised/comic influenced:
    - Sunstreaker
    - Mirage

It would be helpful to know if I am missing something. Why has MFT and MS done a Sunstreaker (and Red Alert) but overlooked Sideswipe? I'm also surprised Mirage is completely overlooked? I have the IF but it looks tiny as most of my collection if MFT.

Also is Wheeljack sort of overlooked too? I see there was a Fans Toys Whiskey Jack and IF have a Wheeljack but again not touched by MFT, MS and NA? I've ordered an IF Wheeljack, am I right in saying he's less stylised and more G1 faithful and due to his smaller cartoon size might scale ok?

I know that's a lot of questions. Still trying to get my head around the intricacies of mixing and matching legends/legends+ and several companies. Any insight appreciated.

sorry to hear about this. Here’s an experience I had trying to ship a USA fender strat guitar neck to Italy. I sold the neck for close to $2000 but due to however shipments are set up over there, I could only insure it up to $600 and as I was told by the USPS and UPS the insurance would be from the moment the guitar neck left my hand to the moment the plane left US soil. After that, their were no guarantees. Obviously I didn’t go through with the sale because of this. I also had an issue selling the same guitar neck to a gentleman in Australia. I had to go through hoops with that as well. Apparently being it’s made of maple wood, it was going to have to sit at customs for a month to fumigate, and even then, could be sent back to me or disappear. Again USPS and UPS would only insure it up to around $600 and that was only good for US handling times. Once it’s off US soil, they wouldn’t cover insurance. I was told to find a 3rd party business who had a special shipping code or # that could ship to those countries and have added insurance. It was confusing as hell!

Do you realize that this is a problem inherent in the organization of ups that has nothing to do with Italy? Just a few weeks ago I bought from Amazon.com that sent me the transformers via UPS: you have to know (because maybe you don't know) that UPS Italia also exists, and it is she (and not Poste Italiane or another carrier) that delivered to me the parcel... The shipment never left the hands of the UPS except for a very short passage through customs for checks

it’s not just Ups it’s the usps as well and I’m not saying packages get stolen there, but just another perspective on why people may not ship to Italy. Each country has rules about what can enter the country and only allows insurance up to a certain amount. So as a seller, it’s hard to take a risk on shipping to any country(not just Italy) that only allows insurance to x amount of dollars. Australia customs wanted to know the species of maple, wanted to fumigate the guitar neck and hold it for more than a month to make sure no foreign insect was coming in on the shipment.

Okay, so you're referring to your specific example, but it has nothing to do with shipping low-value toys like Sirtoys or other normal Transoformers private sellers, I think the difference is obvious... What I mean is that we could bring 1000 examples that have nothing to do with it, but what would it lead to? The reality is that there is no objective impediment to sending Transformers to Italy, those who don't do it do so by personal choice.

PS: I would be happy to end the discussion here if there are no others who have their own theory on why transformers are not sent to my country to be debunked...

Just stop already... you're making ME not want sirtoys to ship to you.

I'm sorry you are having trouble, but honestly - you're not helping your situation.

You're coming off as... Salty? Bitter? If your country had a better go-to mail service and was reliable from the start, then a lot of people wouldn't have this tick' when thinking about shipping to Italy... years of no-go stories kinda leaves an air of caution.

I hope it works out for you though.

Just stop already you and to the other 2-3 on a forum of thousands of users who continue to rage and insult the buyers of an entire country for miserable single personal events that took place years ago in a childish way to say the least and also claiming to have reason. Sirtoys for its part not even this time deigned to answer, as it did for the many emails received from me and other users of my country with whom I am in contact, which is perhaps even worse than not shipping itself, given that on its site expressly wrote that if you are not in one of the countries on his shipping list you can contact him, but if he does not respond (albeit negatively), what does he write to do? I made the first reply here out of the frustration of such silence, in the vain hope that since he responds promptly to every request here, he would do it to me too. So honestly what those who like you make fun of my country are hoping for less than zero interests me, but I am anxious not to spread fake news about my nation current situation, which anyone who has a minimum of common sense understands. I hope that with this the matter is closed, otherwise I am the first to invite the moderators to intervene if they deem it appropriate.

I cant say Ive looked through all of sirtoys inventory, just skimmed the combiners and 3P, but most things I skimmed past that he actually has in stock can usually be found on taobao for cheaper. Maybe sir toys has some more obsure 10th party KOs in some odd repaint, IDK. I generally dont look for those kinds of domestic kos on taobao, but will run across some from time to time searching random stores. Being that most of the stuff, if not all of it, is on taobao, why dont you just shop there so you dont have to complain about it? Just take your money elsewhere, someone will take it. Now if you wanted his finders fee service, I could understand that. Well I was under the impression hell go out and look for things for people, i may be wrong, I dont use him.

I am so unfortunate that I wanted some of those obscure products that only he has (I am speaking in the past tense because many have sold out over the years). For example, now I would like the combiner trains of BMB, I found them yes, even on Aliexpress, but them lack the section you need to combine them. I looked for it everywhere even on Taobao, but as confirmed by those who managed to get it, only Sirtoys has it in the whole web...

Im not familiar with those bmb trains or combiner trains. Had a thomas combiner once, absolute trash as a playable toy for a kid. Do you mean combiner like 5 robots into 1 big one or do you mean combine to have one train pull another like below where two trains connect?
