It's so funny when people say Zetas looks like sunbow because the only thing it has in common is ZOMG GREY. The limbs are accurate to nothing, the alt modes are accurate to nothing, the bot modes (except one) are accurate to nothing. The only reason that one is close is because he doesn't actually have to make the torso.

 

Agreed. But we're not talking about Zeta limbs. We're talking about Zeta Onslaught + MMC limbs. Someone questioned why anyone would want to do mix and matching and the reasons we're brought forward.

It's clearly not for everyone; 3d printed parts and possible self painting (saving costs). However there's some pretty significant pros to doing it.

 

Anyone have this issue where the peg was miscast and causing stress marks on the tab where the hand rotates in? It's also causing a gap in truck mode in the hood that won't close. Anyone know how to open this piece up? I may be able to fix it.

 

Probus reissue is finally in stock at Planet Steel Express! Hopefully he hits US sellers within a couple weeks. Dying to complete mine.

I can't believe how much I've fallen in love with the ones I have so far and how much I appreciate the MMC quality. Sort of off topic but I'm hoping to get Callidus as well.  

 

Just in case anyone needs to know, there are screw hole covers on the inside of the arm that can be popped open using a heat gun and a small flat head screw driver. Inside you will find 3 screws. It looks like whoever assembled mine missed the top screw hole and went into the plastic causing the misalignment.

 

I've had this issue with FT Magnum. They sent me an entire new leg, because it's usually a non-fixable issie.

 

Bah! My Magnum had a big tuft of plastic sticking out of the side of his head, looking ugly and making transformation impossible because it got in the way. I cut it off to allow transformation, but it still looks ugly.

And they've ignored three mails about it now.

Super super duper looking forward to Probus! Mine is @ BBTS, they only sold out recently. I think I ordered mine 2 months ago after cancelling the initial order on my wife's account. It was still available for preorder about a week or two back.

 

As I'm a big alt-mode fan, and it's a major/neat feature of alt-mode so I wanted to use it, I ended up taking mine apart, and filed/sanded a bit, so it was a smidge more rounded. It still has plenty of "grip" to lock into place, but no longer needs an insane amount of pressure at JUST the right angle to release.

Ironically, Probus' leg latch buttons have a similar but opposite issue---they often don't want to fully pop back out in tank mode, they like to stay slightly retracted. It doesn't affect the lock/transformation at all, they fully lock/unlock as needed, it's purely visual. But again, I like alt-modes, so it bugged me, so I took mine apart and sanded the one that tended to get stuck so it could slide in and out a bit easier. It's still finicky and takes a fairly precise movement sequence when transforming to get the leg FULLY clicked in with the button FULLY out, but it's manageable now.

 

If Probus' leg buttons don't properly reset, it's probably because the legs aren't quite in position. Usually, everything will be in position enough to be able to tab together, but the buttons don't spring back. And then I press the legs up just a little bit more still, and then *click*.

As for the Incursus trailer lock, that one just feels weird, period. The button itself never seems to move at all. But if I don't touch it, then the legs don't disconnected. If I hold it, legs unclip without much of a fuss at all. So, I guess it works. Not quite sure how it works.

 

I know it's rather unhelpful for me to say "mine is fine", but the button works perfectly for me. I don't suppose there's some assembly problem involved - maybe a not-quite-symmetric piece installed upside-down or something like that?

My bots are currently combined as Assaultus, but I shall have a play later with Incursus in alt mode and see if I notice anything about the button.
