The reason why I asked @ULTRA PRIME TF about that Terrorcon spoiler is basically because I'm sick of people banging on about the "Scourge is Bayverse Prime" theory as if it's confirmed or even likely.

The Terrorcons being the Bayverse Autobots from a "darkest future" enslaved by Unicron after he emerged would be a bloody stupid twist - as in an M. Night Shamalama level bloody stupid twist.

Except... those are little digs in kind of comedic scenes that don't really impact the rest of the film. It's not something you construct the whole movie around - if the Terrorcons are the main antagonists, the twist that they're the Bayverse Autobots would be pivotal to the story. Most people would find the Terrorcons being the Bayverse Autobots corrupted by Unicron an incredibly... strange twist.

I agree totally with @Autobot Burnout that connecting ROTB to the Bayverse, a dead narrative, is a fool's errand, especially in the context of a "twist" that would just be weird and convoluted. Just move on.

 

Speeding maybe? Probably cause Ramos's character got in trouble with the law at the moment and is trying to outrun/outdrive them with Mirage (which he may or may not know is a Cybertronian at the moment).

 

Seeing the two movie universes cross together would be interesting. However, I’m laughing at imagining the aneurysm you and some other members on here would have from sheer anger if a Bay fan said it would be “cathartic to see Bay Prime wail on that terrible literal manifestation of G1.” Hilarious.

 

You would be laughing at an explicit example of the kind of behavior that you yourself has pretended hasn't existed? Hmm, kind of a self-defeating notion I would think.

 

While I also would like a clean break from the Bayverse, I feel like doing a days of future past thing would at least be a better way of connecting the universes than just flat out having them be in continuity with each other.

Isn’t “strange” exactly what most twists are trying to be?

I imagine it could be related to him stealing some sort of artifact important to their mission, since we heard this movie referred to as a “heist film” and we know there is a museum involved.

 

The whole "it would be cool to see G1 Optimus KILL Bay Optimus" sounds like the sort of stuff I said back in 2014, when I was 17 or 18. I personally take problem with some of the way Bay handled Optimus, but I don't need to see some silly self-indulgent fight like that to redeem the character or anything. It just seems like juvenile fanservice, and a massive waste of money that could go towards simply characterizing Optimus better.

Heck, wouldn't G1 Optimus murdering an alternate version of himself not make him much better than Bayverse Optimus? It's one thing when Godzilla does that because he's a monster, but I'd think G1 Optimus would try to get along with his alternate self. Bay Optimus makes some questionable decisions, but he generally still stands for the same values. The two would probably have more in common than not. They'd probably be more like a 'good cop' and 'bad cop' than mortal enemies.

I personally don't think Scourge will be Bay Optimus. I do think some of the time travel/alternate reality stuff could be true...I saw someone pointed out that a lot of the logos and ads on set don't quite line up with the real '90s versions (like, the NY Police logo looks slightly different). I think there's a chance this movie will use some Terminator-esque plot to tie in with the Bay films, and start a new timeline that's not beholden to those films. I think Scourge will just be a herald of Unicron though.

Yeah, I think this is more or less what's going to happen. Remos' character will attempt to steal Mirage, and learn he's a Transformer while he's trying to escape the police. I can't help but feel like a Cybertronian villain will show up during the chase, but I don't think it will be the cement mixer.

 

If the rumour of Bay Optimus becoming Scourge is true then that basically makes ROTB a live-action version of Kingdom. I highly doubt that Paramount/Hasbro would go ahead with this considering this film has the future of the franchise in it's hands.

 

"It would be cool to see G1 Optimus prove Bay Optimus wrong" would be a much better story, even taking him in alive after winning the physical since Bay Optimus would never do that.

 

Or maybe Kingdom was a soft introduction of these concepts into the lore to prep the audience for the film. Hasbro has done that a few times in the past for brand synergy, such as introducing the dragon Predacons in Prime leading up to the Dinobots in AOE or rebranding Cyberverse as Bumblebee: Cyberverse Adventures to coincide with the Bumblebee film.

 

The rumor is not true and i don't think Noah Will be driving Mirage , Noah Will be in a Hotel and not Steal Mirage .

I think you're reading WAY too much into what are, likely, coincidences - the AOE Dinobots and Prime Predaons have little in common and, re: Cyberverse, Bumblebee's the most marketable Transformer, so putting his name in front of the show is to attract viewers.

The "leak" of Bay Optimus becoming Scourge sounds like somebody who watched the Kingdom cartoon on Netflix, took Nemesis Prime's backstory and switched the names around. That's the biggest hint it's bullshit.

 

But Cyberverse was released in 2018, a few months before Bumblebee came out. The third season wasn’t until 2020. I’d say it was renamed more because Hasbro just thinks nobody wants to see a Transformers show unless Bumblebee is plastered all over it.

 

Yup that 100% what I’m thinking he steal mirage, gets chased by the police and find out while being chased the Porshe is Mirage and then maybe after they escape the police (or maybe evene while trying to escape) one of the Terrorcons shows up.

 

I really hope that Nathan fillion voices mirage, and I really hope that the actors that most of actors that the official TF movie account follows are in the movie . Since there’s a bunch of leaks and set photos about some more characters appearing in the movie I really hope that they actors get to voice these characters
