After the costly victory against the Titans, Iacon is in shambles and Starscream finds himself on shakier ground than ever. I’m not seeing anything what makes Tread & Circuits a Wreckers title. Did the writer just hijack a popular team’s name just for it to sell more copies? I like the choice of characters we have seen so far and the art seems decent, but nothing from the press releases tell us why they are the new Wreckers.

All the stunts are just a front to cover for their Black-Op missions, that's why they're doing a bunch of public racing and stunts, and the race taking part in the series is the race that decides who controls the entire planet, and that there's sabotage going on.

Plus all a Wreckers title needs to be a Wreckers title is good writing and have a special-ops group of obscures that have a high body count.

I love that design for Optimus Prime, but I prefer it with yellow eyes.

I'm always open to more characters being depicted as Wreckers. Always wanted Cliffjumper & Warpath to join. I'd just prefer seeing a more standard, Marvel/IDW based, gungho, commando squad lead by Impactor or Springer. Don't get me wrong, I like this team lineup, as well as the concept of special ops soldiers masquerading as daredevil performers. I just wish they weren't the Wreckers.

I'm okay with a bait and switch where the comic tricks you into thinking it's going to be a nice pleasant straightforward story - and oh, then everyone is brutally murdered or is doing the murdering. I'd be quite disappointed if that isn't what we are getting.

Who knows? Maybe Impactor was this Thunderclash's mentor. That, this is just the latest in a very long line of Wrecker incarnations.

That Megatron squashing Magnus cover looks like something I could find on Deviantart as fan work... not very good fan work.
And did they really have to model the pretenders off their tiny PotP figures???

Comic books just don't have good art anymore. Some comic books do have good art, but there has been a noticeable trend where even known good artists are putting out average quality art. And yes, there has also been a trend of "not very good fan work" appearing on the cover variants. I'm really not a fan of #33 cover B, and I think a fan capable of drawing of higher quality should have replaced it. I'm just not seeing the "wild energetic style" for that cover the illustrator claims they have.

I don't mind actually. I like it when comic books stay on model to the toys, even the tiny toys. Still, it is only the cover - the artist may draw them differently.

Most of these covers look like they were drawn with very little artistic skill. Not talking about style, but about poses, proportions, composition, etc.

That Skold cover is beautiful! Also, that Dragstrip on the Wreckers cover, sneak peak at the Legacy figure, perhaps?

Given the new trend of animation-based designs, there's really not much to "sneak a peak" at.

Just imagine the cartoon, but as a toy.
