To expand a tad off the opening:

Had a real bad 6+ week run of brainstate starting in late July. One thing I've learned in the last year and a half is that the last thing you gotta do to yourself is feel the need to apologize for letting projects slip behind when taking care of your mental health is far more important. Take care of yourselves too. That's an order and a demand!!

For me, whenever I have a simular issue, I have a good hard think on what projects I need to scale down. Because even though others are forgiving of missed deadlines and delays, I am not so forgiving to myself. So I reevaluate my projects and create a new timetable that is less than what I think I can do so it is easy. Then build myself back up to whatever I can, and want to now do. It keeps me from disappointing myself and still getting some satisfaction from those project's completion. But that's just me. I wish you the best of luck.

Taking care of your mental health is indeed far more important than any projects you may be behind on. That is a lesson I am still working on getting through to my brain.

Also I'm glad I submitted a question the right way! Hearing y'all answer it made my day. (Also it's funny, since I've sent that question I've actually slowed down on collecting since I'm not really interested in the figures that are out right now. Sure, I wouldn't mind adding some to my collection, but I know they won't bring the same happiness and excitement as many of the other figures I've gotten this year.)

Happy to still have this podcast after such a long time regardless of release schedule.

And YES to Vangelus. Honestly if I look at a figure on my shelf and I don't want to actively engage with it almost ever, that's a really healthy way to figure out what you want to get rid of.

Neat trick for GPS fearing fans, if your toy has a repaint that was done of it, try to find a junker in an auction and keep it around for spare parts. I will never stop playing with my G1 Thunderclash, but thankfully he has a donor lined up for some inevitable transplants.

I'm just glad you are taking care of yourself. Happy to have a new episode but as one with severe issues with not taking care of one's self I can appreciate you setting better proprities. Be well. Stay safe and take good care of you and yours. We will always be here whenever you want to share new things. You got this.

Vangelus can I just say how much I despise how right you are about MotU Origins...

Bought Origins He-Man and Skeletor after curiosity, was surprised at how nice they were, then next thing I'm know I'm at exactly 10 Origins figures and forcing myself not to go "Well, I can just get Evil-Lyn, Faker and Merman and be done with it for real-for real..."

@Vangelus be sure to take care of yourself. We will understand if the Pocast ever needs a Hiatus.

    MOTU ORIGINS IS A PROBLEM

Right now I'm managing to just be hunting for armoured Skeletor without a markup, but...Stinkor, Webstor, Trapjaw if he gets a re-run...Frank Langella if that actually happens...

What's worse is that Mattel actually is trying to stay on-top of refreshes of certain waves and characters which means you don't even need to worry about paying secondary for certain figures, thus increasing the temptation. BBTS got refreshes of Trapjaw and Triklops for retail last month and even though I was questioning if it was worth buying more at the time the moment I saw that I ordered them immediately...

...Trapjaw is fantastic, I'm convinced there's something in the water.

As far as I understand it, Frank Langella Skeletor is extremely unlikely to happen in any Mattel line, unfortunately. There was a Super 7 interview where Brian Flynn mentioned that the only reason they could do those designs was because the original designer had beef with Mattel specifically, and they are not Mattel.

I wish my 10 years did not have to ride through the Movieverse years.  I don\'t regret the 3P boom, but they were always expensive enough to pick and choose.

Not related to this episode but I have been going back and listening to some older episodes recently and it surprised me how much Vangelus' stance on NECA changed. I've been so used to hearing him be critical towards them that I was taken aback slightly when I listened to some episodes from 2011-2012 and heard him praise the Portal and Left 4 Dead figures they did.

This is why Ive forced myself to just say no. I need to sell my small collection of Mega Construx He-man figs before I start seeing them in stores, again.

I think I arrived at a clever work-around for the MotU Origins problem. A few months ago, I bought a five-pack of MotU Mega Construx figures with He-Man, Skeletor, Teela, Faker and Beast Man, thereby establishing the beginnings of a He-Man collection in the building-block minifigure scale. Now, while I'm avidly watching for news on new Mega Construx MotU figures, I can safely ignore the MotU Origins line because that's just not my scale.
