Yeah, the autobot brothers, and most of the CRID cast for that matter, just need some updates to their original molds, not massive overhauls and reinventions. Though, I doubt they'd fix the materials like you'd hope, given their track record with the WFC trilogy, they'd probably be almost entirely painted over clear plastic lmao

I love Prowl and X-Brawn's conversions... I wanna say I read somewhere they came from the same guy who did a lot of Alternators/BT designs, and it seems legit. But Side Burn... the car mode is beautiful but the robot mode is like a shell former without being a shell former. I appreciate the complexity still, but these car bits hanging off all over get in their own way. The "hood cape" falls just shy of being out of the way in a way I find acceptable.

I keep "super mode" Mach Alert as an autobot search/rescue squad Chase, the Universe deco of X-Brawn as a fembot medic on the same team... But I just did not want to keep Side Burn in either color.

I would love to see them release a new Side Burn, even if it was another Hot Rod redeco (preferably retool) since my TFCC one busted a hip. Further Selects re-uses would 2 decos from 1 further head retool into Shadow Striker (that people want as a character from Cyberverse anyway) and Roulette.

Yeah that’s the thing. We got spoiled with so many leaks in such a short span, which cover the upcoming figures for a long period ahead, that now it feels that not much is going on. With Hasbro not revealing the upcoming (current ?) wave, it’s even worse. It feels like nothing is happening, yet we know most (if not all) next year’s line.

 

Any leaks for what to expect from Pulsecon?

With Kingdom extended to 5 waves. I'm expecting the rest of Kingdom and the first of the Golden Disk collection. Maybe a tease for Legacy.

Not expecting a full Legacy reveal until Toy Fair time at this point.

I would have no problem with the RID01 Car Bros as remolds. RID is the one show I never got into and skipped most of the toys in the first run. I didn’t pick any up until they had Universe repaints, and I was not impressed. I know a lot of people hold those toys to some high standard, but I personally hated them. They’re fiddly and oddly proportioned and some were a pain to transform. So I have no problem with the G1ification of them like they’re doing with the other lines. I’ll actually buy them.

 

But if you don't like them...why just not buy them and let the people who want those designs get the figures they want?

 

Also, it's not like the hypothetical new ones would be like that; they'd probably be less complicated and frustrating.
