Preparing for Pulsecon

I wonder if the last waves of Kingdom, and the Golden Disk Collection will be the big reveals for PulseCon (although by that time, the fourth Wave should've already shipped), leaving Legacy to New York Toy Fair next year

 

Considering the issues with global shipping and logistics, its a good bet Legacy will be delayed to next year and won't be making it to stores for the Holiday Season. Maybe even pushed to Q2.

 

I hate to say it, but I totally agree. I think Pulsecon will be a dump of the remainder of Kingdom, Golden Disk, and Star Saber updates. I'll be keeping my expectations for Legacy reveals downgraded to a slide saying Legacy coming 2022 and be pleasantly surprised if otherwise.

 

They put pre-orders for Perceptor and Coronation Starscream out in August for April releases so I don't think anything could stop them from putting wave 1 of Legacy up for preorder in Ooctober for Q2 even.

I guess I'm just going to keep my expectations low and hope I'm being pessimistic!

 

Speedbreaker would work better from Knockout than Tracks. Knockout's vehicle mode will probably still have a vaguely similar shape, and the robot mode would suit him much better. Plus I can't see them repainting Tracks into another blue car with flames on the hood. (I'd of course prefer a new mold with a Dodge Viper lookalike alt mode, but I doubt that's likely.) Mach Alert would definitely be made from either Sideswipe or Sunstreaker (or Breakdown?), although with how he transforms, I think they could make a much more accurate one if they used shared engineering with a new Drift.

They probably leaked everything they could and they ran out of stuff for a while.

 

and AND.. have purple giant griffin combine with the Nemesis too

 

Yes probably best to lower expectations and then be surprised. My expectation is this - Wave 4/Wave 5 (except for Blaster) of Kingdom will get dumped on pulse/online stoers prior to Pulsecon with no fanfare. Golden Disk and the Reformatting Galvatron figure will get revealed at Pulsecon. Legacy/Evolution wave 1 will get revealed at Pulsecon. Star Saber is done by Pulsecon so maybe they drop Wave 4/Wave 5 stuff when they do updates for the Haslab.

 

There is a good change Hasbro will still disappoint

No doubt, but I've collected long enough that it'd take a dumpster fire to beat my expectations down any further.  
Plus, those can be fun to watch in their own way!  

 

Honestly, the Car Bros have such unique designs and transformations that remolding them out of anyone would be as much of a disservice as what they are apparently doing with Prime characters. Although I'm saying this before we've even seen Knock-Out and the rest, so it remains to be seen how good these remolds look.

 

Yeah. Only things that I'd say need to be changed are how the points of articulation work (so removing ball joints like how the recents figures have been doing), fix some of the materials (primarily on Prowl who's had some breakage issues regarding his clear windows), and some of the transformations, because I've heard Side Burn's is an exercise in madness (then again, I can reliably transform ROTF Mixmaster, so I don't know, honestly.)

 

On the subject of retools am I the only one who thinks that we can get a good Energon Downshift from the Kingdom Tracks mold after doing enough retooling/reshelling? Looking at Energon Downshift he does share some similar design traits with Tracks as a whole so like I said with enough retooling/reshelling it can be possible.
