I got mine yesterday. I'm letting the paint cure more before I attempt transformation, but my word is he impressive. To be fair, the only other MP seekers I've had are the MP-11 mold, but man is DS-01 ever the perfect representation of what Starscream looks like in my head. Absolutely nailed it.

The only thing I'm jealous of MP-52 is the blast effects. I might be the only one who really digs the blast effects on MP figures.

If you search ebay or Aliexpress for figure blast effects, holy crap! There are tons that can be had and can easily work with so many bots. Aside from the takara specific, I feel that if any bots are missing out on a fire blast or laser beam or electric/lightning something or other they can be had pretty cheap.

yeah those null rays were the only issue with mine. I had to sand them down slightly and shove some silicon grease in it and it works GREATTTT. still squeeks, but isnt hard to get in.

This looks really nice. I do feel it doesn't work well with TakaTomy's current toon MP line. This looks too clean while the official ones, as always, have too many panels. I can't say it works well with TE-01 either even if that's as clean as this. TE-01 is just too blocky aesthetically compared to this.

Anyway, what's the best place to get this in the US? TCP has it but it is $200. Are there any other places that have it significantly lower or is my only choice getting it from a Chinese retailer?

Haven’t had too much time to mess around with him but I really like this figure in hand. I think this will be my go to seeker mold but still keep MP-52 as a movie star scream if I can eventually get a coronation kit for him.

I’m sure that’s what’ll get them in trouble.

Gone were the good O' KO days where KO were crappier and cheaper version of the officials but now they are the better QC and cheaper version of the official. How the tide has changed!

Just got him in from shows. Really nice build quality but I was thrown off by the feel of the paint initially. The finish feels like a matte piece of cardstock. The null rays are an impossible fit. I may sand them down or just try some shock oil. I'm in for all the recolors!

Yeah I'm not gonna need Takara for either of these characters. That looks too great.

Quick dirty fix for the landing gear panel being floppy. Cut a tiny piece of skirt of a 3D print and rubber cemented it to the front of the panel. Sanded it until I wasn't forcing it to close but still extremely snug now!

    Substitute materials:
PLA skirt (0.215mm) > plastic bottle (prob need to sand a bit more)
    Rubber cement > Super glue

Edit: Apparently images have been disabled or I can't add any myself. Image of my fix: imgur.com

I'm still waiting on my CW from ShowZ. Shipped on the 1st but from all the pics I kinda thought it'd be here by now (I'm near Seattle).
