I do, too. But the wallets are hurting a lot. So I mean, I've done what I can

+1, this seriously impedes posing and fun for me. Sold my KO MP Shockwave and Quakeblast and MT Jazz for that reason alone. Has to be a SOFT ratchet at best on the side hip joint, or extremely small clicks which i havent seen well done much. Dont see the point unless it's a giant that really super needs it or it will fall, but for this size figure...

And that, my friend, would be Deformation. Neither a KO or official. And probably better than both.

I'm reminded of that Soundwave KO where they even put ratchets in the knee swivel, so you couldn't even have his upper and lower leg aligned! Da fuq!!!o_O

Will likely get this to go along with my official because i'd rather not break the bank on another MP-52 and the DS Starscream isn't worth wasting my money on. I'll probably do the same with Thundercracker and Skywarp too. One for bot mode and one for alt.

I also can't wait to see if they'll do the other Seekers like Sunstorm and the rest as well.

I'm 100% buying the KOs of the other Seekers with no remorse at all, considering the price I paid for the official Starscream release (AND the two prior) only for Takara to withhold the Coronation set. That's a slap in the face.

yeah too bad they didnt. they also need to redesign that price a little for me. its price is too close to ds 001 for me, which im on the fence about. at 75 or 80 as suggested above, id bite even without waist swivel.

Well if everyone thinks like that you'll have no Takara and no more KO's of Takara. If people like KO then they better hope that the originals do well.

Or.... Takara will realize that no one is buying their shitty QC figures anymore and bring their prices back to reality or release products worth the exorbitant prices they are now charging...

Good luck with that. I don’t think that the Masterpiece line is a big moneymaker as you believe. This is why you’ve seen them keep redoing the same characters for the most part unless they find a way to shoehorn in some repaints.

In general, the MP line has only been “affordable” is when they have partnered up with Hasbro in an attempt to reach a wider audience, such as MPM-12.

These premium niche products are expensive to develop and manufacture. The odds are more likely that they would just eliminate the line rather than lower the retail price and lose money.

Yeah, they’re not gonna put in the same amount of work and ask for less. They’ll cheap out on the product or just stop altogether. Does Takara make like 10 000 in a run or so? That’s not really a lot.

Not really much of an argument to people who can't justify 250-400$ per figure though is it? Why should we care if a company that makes toys we can't afford to buy goes under? Guess you'd better buy a few extras to fund our KOs. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Do I root for Ferrari to fail, no not at all. Will I care if they do, nope not at all.

You might do if you loved Ferrari designs and enjoyed them through owning cheap Ferrari replicas. If Ferrari failed there'd be no replicas.

Why would that cause them to quit making replicas? Producing new designs sure, but Hell they still make Shelby replicas and G1 Optimus KOs.

If no new Takara designs ever released I really wouldn't care. I'm okay with enjoying what I have. If I can add good figures at reasonable prices I'm down for that, but it really doesn't bother me if I can't.

Certainly not enough to pay Takaras asking price to play the QC lottery. I won't lie I've got a lot of Takara KOs. Most of them are from the pre-toon accurate era though. If I were into the hyper toon aesthetic I might feel differently but I doubt it.

To each their own, but you'll never find me in an official thread touting the laurels of knock offs. Just saying...

For stuff like this that’s probably a lot. 30% is a helluva discount to bake in and most other companies Bandai, Sentinel, Arcadia and even the Diaclone line don’t come close to that kind of discount.

Another thought, get KO’s in case you need a parts bin for the official figure, sad as that sounds

I fixed a KBB SW hips with parts from a legit TT SW

Edit: On a side note the TT still stands if you turn his good leg in.. Quality, I tell you. the rest of the other leg is somewhere. Strange piece i bought from china. Sold as parts and had all these numbers, pointing arrows and little notes in chinese on lil stickers on every part. I removed most of them but kept one. was rough as, weird scribbling paint on it. paint removed. Perhaps a relic from a KOing Company???? I like to tell myself it is anyway
