Stand is ok. As long as it reaches the V-lock cannon tier, I'll be happy. Tier 3 will have to be something truly interesting and wow everybody to reach that goal.

C'mon, that's such a lame stretch goal. Did Unicron have a stand for his stretch goal? No. First they don't even bother including digital color renders, then they hold back the V-Lock Cannon as a stretch goal, now this, it really feels like there's no passion driving this Haslab campaign, almost as bad as the Cookie Monster debacle.

This will fund, no doubt, but I predict it won't be an explosive ending the way the recent Marvel Legends Galactus was. I further predict that the upcoming Star Wars The Black Series Rancor will feel quite similar to the Star Saber campaign.

Well the shield came from his LAST battle in the anime, so that, to me, would feel about as "iconic" as any battle CAN be, like Megatron's sword and gun from the 86 movie. Way better than.. that weird purple helmet the MP came with

Using the shield as the stand means you can't have him posed in the air with the shield in hand, whereas this one would allow that if we get a shield

That's.. the point of the tiers, is it not? Nice bonuses to throw in after so much support but ultimately unnecessary for the base product. Yes the V-Lock Cannon is iconic and probably shoulda been in the base set but ultimately you can do a Victory Saber without it. To me, it just shows they're confident in hitting that "necessary" milestone and when all is said and done, it wouldn't have mattered where x accessory was unlocked because it was unlocked at all and in our hands in a year or so.

Dude, I literally just went through this exact scenario with my lunch health shake. Like, almost exactly except the ice came with the shaker ball to smack my nose.

 

Honestly a stand should be included period. Have you all seen the vids of the Marvel Legends Sentinel? It falls over b/c the ankle joints are too weak to hold it's own weight. So stands should just be an included thing. That stand costs them pennies to make so it's ridiculous that it's a big tier level.

My only problem is that what people want and what they value is very much a subjective quality.

I've been absolutely satisfied with what I got from Haslab so far. I had zero complaints with Unicron. He's a cherished part of my collection. Likewise Victory Saber is looking to be another Unicron case...a cherished part of my collection.

So I ask...what exactly is wrong and pray tell what SHOULD I be upset about? From my perspective I've got everything I wanted already.

This is my problem. You're trying to be judge advocate for what is quality and what isn't. Based on those who complain? Evey consider that the only reason why you see complaints is that we who actually love this stuff don't obsessively post about how we love it? We see something, gush for a few days, then wait for the next stop on hype train. We're not sitting here every day posting about "complaint #354" like the forum is a standardized complaint form.

Speaking of Sentinel it just reeks of being uninformed. Watch Robo from Fwoosh's video. The knee issue so far appears to be a factory worker issue, not a design one. Could the screw start backing out again after time? Maybe. We won't know until it happens. But as it appears now it looks like the issue is because the workers weren't instructed to tighten up the screw.

Finally, different strokes. I don't need the shield. I only want the V-Lock Cannon because I'm a huge Gundam fan and I love big Gundam beam weapons. I'm in love with the base because it's a themed base in the style of Gundam ones. Bandai did a series of bases that's the Amuro Rey personal insignia and then one that's the Principality of Zeon sigil. They're fucking awesome bases.

Getting a base with the Victory "V" is all kinds of awesome to me. Could it have been a bae item? Sure, but at the end of the day I was excited to just get Victory Saber. Everything else is just a bonus.

 

Honestly that’s pretty nice! Though not something that would be super disappointing if it doesn’t get hit… unlike the V-Lock Cannon.

 

Uh…I mean…yeah, a stand isn’t too exciting, but it’s not like I’m being forced to pay more money. The figure is going to cost what it costs, and if it gets to the stretch goal, then we get a stand. I’d rather get a stand than not get a stand. If I don’t like it, then I won’t use it. But who are we kidding, I’m going to use it, because it’s a very useful and practical accessory. So yeah, not too exciting, but it’s fine for a stretch goal.
