If you look at the base closely you can see that they are making the stand in the shape of the Victory stylized "V", so cool!

The shield is probably tier 3 because it was literally a one scene accessory.

 

I mean, the orange axe and purple flail are from one scene and yet they're almost always included with Megs and Prime.

 

Hey a flight stand used for voyager/leader size transformers would be sweet! I'm down with this addition!

 

Wonder if he's compatible with those TakaraTomy Mall stands that most figures are. I have a lot of those.

 

At least it's not a trading card or digital comic book.

 

Looks like a pretty hefty stand and I like the stylized V on the base. I'd be happy to get this tier but wouldn't be broken up if its missed.

They're probably all going to be lame.

They really aren't. Especially Marvel's which are frankly just really big dudes that come with a few little dudes.

While I agree, those energy weapons came from their iconic first battle in the series and everyone remembers them for it, while frankly I didn't even know Star Saber even had a shield before the MP came out.

 

Welp. Tiers are worthless.

It seems like they want to improve Third Parties' business.

 

I love it. The one with the big "V" on it is so very much like those themed Gundam stands.

I swear most Transformers fans have no fucking taste!  

 

Eh... I mean, getting a stand would be cool, and I kinda like that they stylized it with the V, but I wouldn't be mad if we don't reach that tier. It'd be neat to get the display option, but it's not as vital to me as the V-Lock Cannon.

Unless the unlock for 20k is really cool, then I'd hope we get past this goal purely for that.

I mean, the thing about stretch goals is, they have to be fairly frivolous additions so that if the thing doesn't meet the goal, it won't hurt the figure to not have them included - like the Doctor Doom head for the recent HasLab Galactus. The V-Lock Rifle being one was a dodgy start, as it's a pretty essential classic accessory; I feel pretty good it'll happen, but I think it's given folk a lopsided view of what to expect from these tiers. If goal 2 is just a flight stand, goal 3 is going to be something even less essential, like the shield or a Jan minifigure.

 

Welp... That's staying in the box. Oh well, not gonna do something drastic like spout nonsense such as "this tier blows, I'm cancelling my set!"... The stand isn't a thing I really care about and the clear plastic IS worrying me a bit with the weight of Victory Saber so in order to not break it, it just simply stays in the box... Assuming we reach tier 2 cleared of course. 

 

When are orders going to open for Japan? I want this thing to get insta funded already

 

Consider me whelmed. I like the V logo on the stand, but using the shield/stand from MP-24 is right there. On a $180 product the difference between this and the shield is maybe a dollar or two, tops.

 

No shield, but the stand can work for both robot and alt mode unlike the MP, so it might be possible to put Victory Saber in a flying pose. Now I'm even more curious about the final stretch goal.

 

It depends what you consider "higher end." Victory Saber is undoubtedly a more intricate, detailed figure than you'd get at retail, but it's not going to be an MP. It's still more than retail figures offer. (especially compared to the likes of Earthrise) The Razorcrest was a just a really big spaceship, similar in quality to normal Hasbro stuff, but it's just too big to be a retail item.

But that one scene is arguably one of the most memorable scenes from the most memorable introductory multi-parter of the most memorable Transformers show, which is also the original.

It's not really a 1:1 comparison.

So fans could either unlock these tiers at no additional cost per unit or buy overpriced 3P add-ons after the fact for the same effect? Wouldn't that be worse for the fans in the end?
