Dang. The price of KOs is skyrocketing. I remember getting a KO for a fourth of the price. Then a third of the price. Now I guess we're down to half. Or in cases of Optimal Primal, the same price. The thing I loved about KOs is that their prices were the only way I could ever afford good figures as I couldn't ever dream of affording the insane prices Hasbro started demanding. But now even the knock offs are getting too expensive for me. =(

I think the bigger appeal of KOs of takara mps nowadays is that they won't break on you like the official. Or even when they do break due to the mould being fundamentally flawed (mp44), it doesn't hurt as much.

I think the price on this is driven by the fact the original is so expensive, and that the alternative (and in some opinions superior) Crimson Wing is around the $120 mark too so this is hitting that kind of spot.

If they knocked these out at $80 and did the repaints quick, they’d mop up.

There is no way to add a waist swivel to MP-52 without a major redesign.

Still, if this KO turns out to be better than the official screamer, I’ll get the KO versions of the other jets. I can wait.

I was looking forward to this but honestly with the DS version out for almost the same price, I don’t see much reason to buy this.

Why not get Deformation starscream if waist swivel is what you're after?

I like how ShowZ blurs his face to protect his identity.

Man I feel so bad for Takara loyalists now. They literally have the worst Starscream on the market right now

And yet without MP-52, DS-01 would not look as good as it does and this KO wouldn't exist so you'd be stuck with the meh Maketoys seekers. Credit where credit is due.

Lol - cos these no-brand KOs are always super premium and never have any problems of their own. I personally hate heavy ratchets on hip outwards and shoulder outwards because you always want a position between clicks! Annoying as hell when you have to choose between G1 straight brick or far too wide A-stance. So introducing them isn't a plus in my book.

Strange no showing of the feet considering those were problematic for many. All we can tell is that they didn't replace that part with die-cast.

Not too crazy about outward ratchets for the hips. I also would've prefered a change to the knees since I think the forward bend is pointless since I consider the not-gerwalk mode pretty much of no importance, and the gap to accomodate this has always bothered me from the earliest pictures.

It's because some people refuse to purchase a KO because it's ultimately hurting the company that designed the piece in the first place, - and those people want said company to continue producing new product and improve in the future. I think personally I'm gonna wait until a different option comes along and not buy official or KO at this point.
