Irrespective of which of his 4 modes you like, for me, the hardest & most stressful part is getting the mixer barrel folded up correctly. It requires precision and a lot of patience. And sometimes you can get it locked together but if there's something slightly out of alignment internally, it will pop apart very easily. When everything is perfectly aligned internally and externally, it will hold together well. And for any newbies that have got this guy incoming in the next day or 2 - don't feel bad if you break him. Emgo broke his first time round too.

 

Good to know. What's likely to break? If I can help it, I'd prefer not to pull a Compressor and break something absolutely crucial on Split right out of the box and then wait several months for a replacement part.

Pretty much   Although it's much weaker than super glue imo and rubs off more easily. Also takes a longer time to dry.

But then people will miss the turret mode! So much care and effort put into it. Easily my favorite! It even rolls!

 

I posted it here a while ago, but the ratchet in the shoulder basically exploded.

Sorry for a little spam but those are my first impressions  
The transformation to the truck form is definitely a mess. I think the worst part was just to find out what the hell you're supposed to do. I've been watching both Emgo's and @PrimeVsPrime reviews simultaneously and it still wasn't 100% clear sometimes. Very little room for manoeuvre, pushing parts behind another but luckily nothing broke. Overall, other than some loose joints and pieces falling apart he's quite solid, a lot of internal elements are made of die-cast metal which is appreciated.
Still, I think TW Knight Orion was worse to transform (that's one good thing about that figure - if you handled that one, any other 3P figure is a piece of cake in comparison  ) but unlike KO this one is really worth it. I think this is my favorite vehicle form of all Devil Saviour bots. Great attention to details, basically every robot part is hidden, even the bottom of the vehicle is full of molded details that are trying to cover the kibble. And unlike the robot mode - the truck is very solid and everything stays together nicely. I really like this one  


As for the head, I think the worst part is that you have to disassemble that mess of his legs again   But of course it's incredible. Also my favorite combine mode so far next to Paranoider and Bomber. I know that something called 'the destruction mode' also exists but I'm genuinely tired already, my fingers are sore and I just don't care for today  


So all in all I think I had a positive experience with Split. Sure it wasn't the most pleasant evening but this is definitely an impressive figure. Maybe even the most impressive of the entire set cause we're getting 3 great looking and very detailed modes. Perhaps that is the main issue with this design - it's too ambitious. Devil Saviour refused to sacrifice any mode for the sake of the other two which resulted in very difficult conversion. Not sure if I should blame the company for this but I like that the following figures were much more enjoyable  

 

I wish my Split were here already, but I don't think he will be here until Tuesday ish. Not gonna lie, I think I might be the only person on the planet that cares about the turret mode haha.

Awww poor bomber, all alone haha! I do really wish I still had a couple of those legends ones. I wish a 3P company would do a legends sized devastator that’s more complex than the takara legends one but less complex than the hasbro SS one.

No need to stop posting! I like hearing a fresh perspective on the figure and it’s making me even more excited to have mine hopefully waiting for me when I get back from vacation. I think split has both the things I hate most in a transformation (besides partsforming): overly finnicky limbs that need to be positioned exactly right and too many hinges on thin parts. Seeing the design I feel it could have been simplified at least 15%.

 

Yeah it's definitely one of those "it gets better once you know what to do". For example, many reviewers don't utilize his ankle tilt while transforming his legs, to make some room for the fenders to go on the other side of his shins - so they forcefully push the parts behind another and bend the plastic which is hella scary with these thin hinges   I'm sure you'll get it once you have him   once again, patience is the key. The truck mode is really solid and tabs nicely if you're not overly picky about some small gaps

In all seriousness though, it feels like I've been waiting months (It's been like, a week since the figure was sent out but shhhh) for my figure to arrive, this past week has been super slow.


My Mixmaster is in the UK! Should only be a couple of days until I get him  

 

Mines due tomorrow, at least I can finally put a head on Devastator, where I'm going to display him when it's complete remains a mystery, however  

 

I got Mixmaster in earlier today, and I've been having a blast with him. Honestly my main issue with him is that the robot mode kinda sucks (floppy ankles, loose hips, and kinda impossible to balance). But his vehicle mode is really solid, and his head mode is top notch! I can't wait for Skipjack and Scrapper to be released so we can finally finish this absolute unit!

 

I return from my honeymoon tomorrow. Two days ago it said “arrived at the delivery company” in the US so I’m hoping that means that he’ll be there waiting for me when I get back! It always sucks to return from vacation so to have split as a consolation prize for that would be great.

EDIT: Screw Fedex they said it would arrive friday then friday night it updated to tuesday. The package was IN NYC then they sent it to Pennsylvania and THEN are shipping it BACK to NYC they make no fucking sense.
