Do you have the imgur links? I know allspark is a good landing page, but the imgur pages are the real golden pages

Yup! They're all in the first post of this thread and I think in each post containing images after that as well. As far as I know he hasn't added any new imgur pages yet luckily, just appended to/replaced existing ones.

Just synched up a large batch of updates from D.M. The following changes have been made (and appended to the revision log in the first post):

13-Apr-'21 - TF:TM sheets updates: Updated colouring on toy like Kups, last figure on pre-final Blurr, two last figures on pre-final Rodimus sheet, alt Prowl and added alternate colouring for Blitzwing.
20-Jun-'21 - Updated Arcee. Now her "skin" perfectly matches the animation cel.
    28-Jun-'21 - Added pre-final Springer and Wreck-Gar.
30-Jun-'21 - Made a slight update to Wheelie sheets and early Sharkticon sheet.
23-Jul-'21 - Fixed Buzzsaw (I forgot to change the beak to yellow).
10-Sep-'21 - Updated the early Blurr sheet.
11-Sep-'21 - Due to revision of colours RP-4 and RP-5 the following have been updated: Alpha Trion, Prince Jumal, pre-final Smokescreen, Dead End, Menasor, Arcee, pre-final Rodimus Prime, Kranix, Lithonians.
14-Sep-'21 - Due to revision of colour X-61, the following are updated: Hoist goes to Hollywood sheet (also updated Harold's shirt), Prince Jumal (yeah, again).

Wow, I just found this thread thanks to Nevermore’s link in the TF Bible auction thread. This stuff is amazing.

I don’t know if it would help, but I own a number of Season 3 color model cels. No back views unfortunately, but I can try to get good scans of them if it would be of any use.

Whatever scans you are able to get, I know plenty of us would be interested to see them.

Oh my gosh--that would be amazing! I can get them to D.M. (the gentleman making the models) or put you in touch with him via AllSpark Forums or Twitter! Thank you!

I love this! Thanks to the original artists and to Chchchch for posting this here! I actually make 3D models of TFs and had never seen guides like this. Its very useful. It actually shows the backs of the robot and alt modes!

OK, I’ll see about getting them scanned. The model cels are fairly large (something like 24”x 16”) and won’t fit on our home scanner (which is made for 8 1/2 x 11”) but the actual artwork might fit. If not I’ll try to find an alternative.

If I need to scan the artwork in pieces (due to small scanner) would it be feasible to take the separate images and stitch them together later? Just wondering if that’s a possibility. I don’t have the software or the skill to do it.

EDIT: I even checked my work scanner and it only fits 11”x17” . But hopefully I can get mine to work to just scan the artwork part.

OK, I tried scanning with our home scanner. Apparently I can’t change the scan settings (like resolution) or the output file (only outputs to JPEG).

Will this work for the project?
BTW, you can ignore the signature, I had this model signed by Jim Cummings a few weeks ago :D

Awesome!! I imagine this is plenty good enough for D.M's purposes, even if the larger ones have to be split up I believe he will just be using them for color sampling anyway. Anything you are able to scan I'll send to him! Thanks again!!

D.M replied that this first scan has already helped him clear up some problems!! He's wondering if you could list off which ones you have (if you get a chance). Also, he says:

    Thanks again for helping out!!

Sorry, I don’t have anything quite that fancy, and no minibots :D  Just color models like the one I posted.

    I own the following:
    Afterburner (robot)
    Afterburner (vehicle)
    Lightspeed (robot)
    Lightspeed (vehicle)
    Hun-Grrr (robot)
    Hun-Grrr (monster)
    Blot (robot)
    Blot (monster)
    Rippersnapper (robot)
    Rippersnapper (monster)
    Sinnertwin (robot)
Vortex (robot & vehicle on one)
Blast Off (robot & vehicle on one)

However, I might be able to help a couple of other ways…

Another board member here owns a TON of these models and I’ve saved every picture he’s taken of them (he’s really nice but kind of a shy lurker so I don’t really want to suddenly say to him “hey, can you scan everything you own??” ;) )

I’ve also saved a large number of pics posted in online auctions of any models made available over the last 20 years or so. Many of the pics are fairly low-rez but still might be of use.

OK, so while I was scanning the models, I realized the colors were turning out strange. Specifically, purples looked WAY off, especially Blot. So for the sake of accurate colors, I decided to just take close-up photos of the models instead. Turns out that method resulted in higher resolution than my lousy scanner anyway :p
@chchchch please let DM know that the Afterburner scan may not have accurate colors, and to use this photo instead.
I'm posting them here so anyone interested can see them. @chchchch I will PM you shortly.

Season 3 models added. Special thanks to @UndertakerPrime for providing reference model cel scans and photos that contributed to this update (in particular, D.M made changes to Afterburner based on this material!).

Thanks for the awesome work! I coloured a lot of G1 character models myself) But now I don't have time for that. And I am glad that someone has completed all 3 seasons of G1.

But what about A3 (young version of Alpha Trion) and Beta (A3's second in command, female bot) from the episode Forever is a long time coming? Primacron is important character (Grimlock's new brain). And characters from the transformers past (Five faces of Darkness, pt 4)

Also it would be great to have model of middle aged Alpha Trion from the episode War Dawn (2nd season)
