Thats the weird thing.

Jolt, Gnaw, ROTF Bee, and a repack of 86 Jazz are in the just now releasing wave. Sideswipe is in the wave AFTER this one.

So… unless Sideswipe is just in a wave of repacks, there might be an unrevealed figure in it?

 

I don’t know about you guys, but I kinda like stuff just showing up at retail unannounced. Maybe Hasbro decided if they can’t stop the leaks, they’ll at least maintain some mystery as to exactly when and where they’ll start popping up.

 

Wish they would've done their own box art for him instead of reusing the same CGI render. Nevertheless, it's nice to know that he's already out there.

 

I believe it's just more repacks. Wave 14 is weird in that it only has one new Deluxe and one new Voyager (ROTF Sideswipe and 86 Sweep respectively), the rest are all carry-forwards from old waves.

 

That would be great if distribution wasn’t so fucked that brick and mortar has become ‘you’re there within an hour of stock being put out or you get nothing’. Having a heads up at least let’s etailers put up preorders for when we inevitably miss that briefest of windows.

I’m sure online POs will still go up eventually. On the bright side, this will save some people from having to cancel POs after finding it in store. I don’t like doing that myself, and I’m sure online retailers might appreciate the reduction in cancellations…provided this doesn’t result in fewer completed sales for them.

 

You’d think Sideswipe would have just been put into wave 13 instead of Jazz then.

 

I didn't even know we were getting a ROTF Sideswipe. Was this rumored/found in computer listings until now?

 

While we're on the topic of case contents, what is the Kingdom wave 4 deluxe case? What 2 figures got carried ahead?

 

And they still will put these up eventually.

Of course as long as Hasbro releases toys in waves designed to fill store shelves, preorders available online or not, brick and mortar will almost always get stuff first with often specialty shops who sneak around the usual distribution chains before even that. It is just the way of things.

 

Yep, I think he may have even leaked in systems a year ago with Grindor. Things could have gotten shuffled around for SS86. Some samples also leaked earlier in the Summer.

Honestly don't see why they haven't done him already, even his CG model is a barricade retool!
