Definitely going to have to pick up a second Gnaw, mine from BBTS has a fused neck joint and ridiculously loose shoulders. He can stay in Sharkticon mode and hopefully the second won’t be a dud in robot mode.

Iirc correctly they did a really under the radar reveal via social media on a sunday afternoon. But even then, the already "early reviewed" retooled Sideswipe wasn't included.

I know the conspiracy "want things to fail" theories are ridiculous, but as @Nevermore has outlined on more than a few occasions, it really seems like they are often just spectacularly bad at PR and promotions. I'm sure Covid makes it tough, but that FFF where they basically showed, what was it, 3 SS86 figures (1 being basically a re-release and another a re-release with new parts) plus the chess set? just seems like such a ahem*Prime*ahem example of missed opportunities.

I'd love to check out the inner workings... I'm involved with this type of work for another major entertainment brand (vague, right?) and I know the work that goes into good announces, maybe they just don't have the budgets or resources to do it right. C'mon Hasbro – look at how other folks have done things, lots of teams have figured it out.

I bought 2 SS86 Gnaw and SS Jolt from a Walmart in Atlanta on 9/13. I got 1 SS86 Gnaw from Target.com end of last week that was in-stock so I got my 3 SS86 Gnaw that I wanted.

 

So... Why exactly did they repack Jazz in with Jolt, Bee and Gnaw when SS86 Gnaw is probably the single most desired toy for troop building ever released?
