Feel like Skywarp would’ve been more liked if he had different wings and head for eagle mode to look more different from Airazor. Would justify the original price they had them for.

 

Sideswipe has a point, since his previous toy is a Cybertronian version that doesn't match his bro.
Skywarp doesn't have a point, since his previous toy is a combiner that suffered from GPS and this one can't take his place.

I mean, it's kinda bonkers buying a set for the figure that looks slightly different and not the one who's mostly new, but it's just where the fandom is at this point I guess.
(Not that I'm "above" it or anything. Reissue the original Mangaboss, Hasbro!)

 

I would have bought Kingdom Sideswipe alone, but since I doubt I would get my money back trying to sell Skywarp, I held off.

 

As much as I want a more faithfully done Skywarp/Silverbolt that's part of an updated Magnaboss set I think we should remember that unlike the Mainframe BW cast none of the other BW characters toy and Japanese show wise are lucky enough to have the high level of exposure the former got. Yeah there's certain G1 and movie characters to counter the argument but even then they at least have the luck of being part of the two most mainstream eras to help back up having dedicated molds of their own. Something that sad to say the other TF eras BW included aren't able to say the same of.

So I think it's safe to say that it'll likely be a while before we see Hasbro get bold enough to tackle something like Magnaboss and Tripredacus in the future.

This is exactly where I am at. I only want Sideswipe and seeing the initial reaction from this thread I thought a lot more people only wanted Skywarp so I expected more lone Sideswipes to be available but I think the pull of having a bot to match Sunstreaker was a draw for people. Still just hesitant to go in on a set for myself and being stuck with a skywarp.

 

you'll probably pay more than the sets price (or close to it) for Sideswipe alone on the aftermarket, if you want him you'd be better off just getting the set.

 

Honestly, anyone that is paying that much for Skywarp would be better off buying the set and fipping Sideswipe. They would make the $20 difference back and then some.

 

You probably wouldn't get all of it but you could probably at least get enough that you're effectively paying regular Deluxe retail price for Sideswipe.

Since a crow/raven was one of the generic background animals in Beast Wars and seen in the iconic Code of Hero episode I'd love to get a repaint/retool of one. Maybe a Beast Wars version of Filch?

 

Well I ordered this set for Skywarp but I will be keeping both. I'm a BW fan but I also appreciate G1.

 

I ordered the set mainly for Sideswipe, but I like Skywarp enough to keep him.

 

Skywarp-only here. Gotta support Beast Wars, and maybe they’ll do a proper combining “Silverbolt” later. As for Sideswipe, I love how the Cybertronian Siege bots match the retro-future vibes of the movie/season 3 bots. So Siege Sideswipe is staying as my Gens Sideswipe.

 

I was originally planning on selling Skywarp, but the figure grew on me after getting the set a couple of days ago. It helps that Airazor is a great mold. That said; since I don't like males and females sharing the same body types in my collection (bolded to help some imbecile avoid being that guy) Skywarp is female now.  

 

Managed to give my copy a slightly more definite *Thoop!* with some cautious ab tab shaving but it's still not super tight.

 

Anyone here who grabbed the set willing to sell off their Skywarp? That's mainly the one I want

I admit I originally wanted the set just for Sideswipe, but the bald eagle is one of my favorite birds, so despite not being a part of a new Magnaboss combiner figure, BW Skywarp looks okay for being a repaint of Airazor with a new robot mode head, so I will keep him in my collection.

Maybe I will use Kingdom BW Skywarp to make a Transformers version of the U.S. National seal? Most likely not, but the thought is a patriotic one.

Sideswipe looks EPIC!!!!!!!!! I love that the windows, rear intake vents, and the shape of the hood look almost the exact same as Earthrise Sunstreaker, making it look like they both transform into the very same Lamborghini. It is a reverse type of transformation from the Autobot Clones, instead of look-a-like robots that turn into separate vehicles, you have different robots transforming into look-a-like sports cars. This can be seen when you put Kingdom Sideswipe next to Selects Spin-Out.
