I use to love going to the flea markets about 10yrs ago now its overrun with wannabe toy shop excuse me "collector spots" selling recent retail figs at double or triple the price

 

Got the only Jolt and 86 Jazz the Garland 30 Walmart had, saw some ROTF Bees.

I regret I didn't buy cartoon and movie Neca 2 pack Turtles over the past months, I saw multiple times in WM and Target but I has other priorities......now I have those in mind and I want them, prices are ungodly high...

On the Houston Flea Markets, I used to go to the Antique mall on I10 near the Beltway, and also to Traders Village, but I haven't since way before Covid became a thing...are those places worth a visit nowadays?

 

I stopped going to the Grand Prairie Trader's Village years ago for a few reasons.

-They kept raising the entrance fee, so if you did find something good it probably wouldn't be worth it in the end.
-It became much harder to find good toys and parts because more and more collectors started coming in and combing the place. I don't blame them, it just dried the well up between all of us.
-People became more and more desperate with their prices on things you did find. You'd often see something stripped down that you might want a part from, but they'd want $10 for the thing because "It's a transformer."
-3D printing replaced a lot of my customization needs.

I really do miss doing weekend mornings out there but it got to the point where I kept leaving dirty but empty-handed and out $5 for parking.
