It looked like a slightly different shade in the livestream. The hands are painted though (not just the claws/nails) so, you can try to remove the paint and colour-match or paint over the paint if it's too stark of a difference.

 

Oof, this blue looks way more accurate than the Scourge figure, at $26 I would have picked this up as well. And yeah, I'd have done that hand swap.

 

I found a lone THRUST last night at a TARGET in Tukwila, Washington. And ironically enough, I found a lot of him beside STARSCREAM [72] at Phantom Zone Comics in the Southcenter Mall. Also found a lone BUMBLEBEE [74] at Gamestop after work...

And I understand the frustration everyone is having with finding product on the shelves in stores -I don't understand the attitude that it is apparently Hasbro or the store's fault.

Kingdom Cyclonus has no kibble, ankle pivot, wrist swivel, waist swivel, no hollow bits, a complicated transformation that is also intuitive and looks close to the animation model in both modes.
What do you feel about Kingdom Cyclonus could look better?

THE FACE. For the love of Christ! it's FUGLY. Between him, Blurr, Kup and Earthrise Megatron, it's like... what? You look at Hot Rod, Earthrise Megs, Arcee, and the various other faces they absolutely nailed, it's really hard to understand what's going on.

I wouldn't mind a somewhat more vibrant color either.

 

I wouldn't mind having that blue-purplish deco that Unite Warriors Cyclonus had.

 

Yeah, that's what I was talking about. Easily the best deco for Cyclonus.

 

Now that this is out there with a more toy-accurate coloring, I'd like to see a SS86 Cyclonus in toy colors too! I've always preferred that darker purple for him!

 

Wow, actually seeing just how much bluer the sweep is has me considering getting this to replace my Scourge. I prefer him in a brighter blue anyway, and the thumb on my Scourge's left hand twisted off and I had to glue it back on.

But then I'd want to get a second Scourge to use as a sweep... Cause the darker color would fit them better for me... And I really don't care that much for the sweeps unfortunately (I want too, but their just not different enough from Scourge for me personally)

I'll cross this bridge when I actually get to it. For now I'm just gonna go on as if I have no plans to get this.

Wow. I think the face is spot on.
In fact, I think the faces are great for everyone you list except Kup -which isn't really bad himself.

 

I'm not real crazy about color-matching, especially regarding that weird color on the nails and the nails are too small for me to even consider trying to paint. So I hope the colors on the hands of Scourge and Sweep match naturally. My ideal would be to have one Scourge/Sweep with two normal hands, one with two open hands, one "lefty" Scourge/Sweep and one "rightie". I have three Scourges already. Anyhow, Scourge is already two shades of blue, I wonder if Sweep changes both blues or just one. I can mentally justify the difference as one being slightly "stronger" and the other being slightly "weaker".

They have bananafaces. Like they're too big for their helmets or something. Fanstoys and KFC both did great Cyclonus faces. This one stands out to me as the ugliest part of an otherwise amazing figure, one of the pinnacles of the trilogy. Scourge and Wreck-Gar are perfect.

No wonder Hasbro went after Wei Jiang so hardcore... if they were still around, imagine them making MP-scaled, improved versions of figures like Cyclonus and Hot Rod.

 

Man. If Wei Jiang (were still around and) made a Cyclonus like you are describing I would lose my fucking mind.

 

yeah for me collecting now has actually been easier cause I just order everything on line whenever it’s available. I have the sweeps preordered. Now of course it’s not set to arrived until next year but I have one locked down and if I really need it sooner I can choose to hunt around. Otherwise I just let it all come to me

 

Sorry, I wasn't trying to imply that you had to or should colour match the claws/nails. The claws/nails looks like the same pink/magenta hue in the livestream but, the stream quality is always horrible so it might not.

I was talking about the rest of the hand which is also painted on both toys just like the thighs are. You would only need to be cautious where that area meets the pink/magenta hue and making sure you don't get any paint in the 5mm hand port. Small areas are vastly easier to deal with if you have any sort of magnification tool that you don't have to physically hold onto (e.g. a jeweler's lop, a magnifying desk lamp, etc.). Even people with the eyesight of a hawk rely on tools like that for detail work because it's just flat out easier and the quality of work is substantially better as a result.

I get not wanting to colour match though. You might want to check the SS86 Scourge thread of the SS86 Appreciation thread to see if anyone has found a colour match like they have for Kingdom Rodimus's yellow and orange as well as various other toys.

When it comes to hand swaps, 1 Sweep will stay factory, and then 1 Sweep or Scourge will have double claws or dual hands. I can't decide if Scourge claw everything to death or if a Sweep should. This is a rare instance where I wish that hands just popped in with a 5mm peg into a 5mm port . . .

They are! Mark said the shade of blue on Sweeps is supposed to be closer to the original toy; whilst Scourge's shade is closer to the TFTM model.
