Oh my God, give it a rest dude. All you do is complain. That song is a pretty generic Christmas song that everybody hears a few times each holiday so I doubt there will be much looking up of it since everybody has heard it a million times. It’s not some obscure song that’s gonna get a bump in popularity. I would ask if that satisfies you, but we all know it doesn’t
roddy once again being a grinch. in other news, water is moist. more news at 9. I am all for the Rogers Musical based on the fact that it looks inspired by Hamilton. Howling Commandos: We fought with him Dr. Erskine: Me, I died for him Tony Stark: Me, I trusted him. Peggy, Sharon: Me, I loved him. Bucky: And me? I'm the damn fool that shot him.
Looks good so far. I hope the execution of the series meets or exceeds the vibe of the trailer. I just finished watching Loki and I have mixed feelings about it.
I was expecting it to be similar in tone to Falcon and the Winter Soldier but the trailer makes it feel like a Shane Black movie.
It seems to be trying to keep a similar tone to the Hawkeye series by Fraction while mixing in the movie continuity, lets see how successfully they pull it off. Several actors were hired to play characters from the Fraction comic(Plus there is the dog introduced in that series). If it's an adaptation of that comic run it could be good if done right.I really enjoyed that comic run.
It’s definitely mixing in Die Hard inspirations based on that trailer. and yeah, it sure does have that Shane Black feel of being set on Christmas.
I'm surprised they put it on the Lunt-Fontanne because of that. Though putting it in the Richard Rodgers might have been a little too on the nose.
Marvel artist David Aja brings more attention to the work for hire nature of the industry not compensating as well as he thinks they should, citing his Hawkeye work being adapted for this show. Hawkeye Artist David Aja Calls Out Marvel Studios for Not Paying for Adapted Work
With the kind of money Marvel Studios brings in on these films I seriously don't understand why this keeps happening. Writers/artists should be properly compensated.
It's a situation of an unfair practice that persists because people keep feeding it. It's not a secret how these companies operate with regard to creative staff compensation. It has been known for decades. So if artists and writers don't agree with how compensation is handled, don't work for them. Until companies like Marvel are faced with real world actions opposing their practices (such as depriving them of skilled employees through refusal to work for them) instead of social media posts, they won't change. Easier said than done but anything worth achieving isn't going to be easy.
Sadly it's not just marvel many animation companies though they tend to pay better, often leech of their creatives. Many of who included famous comic artists who went to work for them doing concepting and storyboarding art because the pay was better than the comic industry at the time. (Of course back then cartoons were on network TV like CBS,NBC and ABC.) So they paid better than they would now. This is also why you see many movie writers now suing to get control of characters they created as the copyright clauses come into effect due to age. They just want to get their just compensation after the studios have made franchises out of their work.
Looks great; can't wait to see Hawkguy in action again. Ah hell. Disney - could you not do something shady for 5 minutes?
