So essentially I got what I paid for, I guess. Still, no regrets!

 

It kind of boggles the mind how everybody is churning out legends scale Megs when so many are starved for a reissue of a MP scaled one. No faith in IT01 at this point. At this point I might have to settle for the Weijang megs that doesn't scale with anything other than their oversized MPP10. I keep hoping Magic Square with upscale their legends megs to the same scale as MS-01 prime but for some reason they won't.

 

You can't give up hope on IT-01. They'll come through. At the moment, focus on other purchases or interests haha.

 

Margins. they are making a killing off of people who keep feeding the legends madness.

 

Oh man, same thoughts. I have the MS 01 Prime and I loved it so much more than OP Leader, I was really hoping MS would make an MP Megs to go with it as well.

Sadly it never happened so I settled with this KO.

 

Magic Square has even done all the R and D. The legends megs works as a proof of concept. All they would have to do is upscale it with the files they have for the legends. Could get $100 easy. Even more with a metallic paint job like they did for ms01.

 

Wish someone would downscale weijiangs megatron to MP scale.

 

I disagree, all the linkages and parts parking won't translate well into MP scale unlike many of their other legends scale offerings imo.

 

If Magic Square wants free money, what they should upscale is their Devastator. Their Megatron would be competing against so many other options, yet their Devastator would only be competing against Constructor, who is apparently a QC nightmare.

 

It costs more than a jinbao dev as is now. LOL. Are they going to cost more than a toyworld when OS'ed??

 

What other options? The only MP Megs available is the super oversized WJ Megs that scales with nothing but MPP10 and is basically the last of a leftover batch of unsold WJ product. Besides him there hasn't been a proper MP scaled megs for non scalper prices in a year. Would love to see them upscale their devvy though.

 

I'm not talking about options currently on the market, I'm talking about what options people already have.

And I'm not saying an MP Megs wouldn't sell, I'm saying the demand for an actual toon accurate Devastator and set of constructicons would be ravenous in comparison.

 

Guess it depends on what you want. THF and IT seem higher than they use to be, but I dont remember. What ive seen when doing a magten search and general meg search last week on taobao

They make good stand alone pieces. For the longest time I considered them the center of my collection.



Eventually I went full bore into MP. I still really like them, but space constraints had me considering selling them. I had gotten other MP versions 2 different primes in fact. I don't normally have alt mode representations of my figures, but it seemed criminal not to have them for these two. These seemed perfect for that. So I went looking for Primes trailer and there were none anywhere for not insane prices. So I gave up on that and had them both shuffled off onto random catch all shelves. But then the trailer hit Showz recently and I jumped on it.



And then a quick trip to Michaels for an acrylic stand.


Don't think I'll ever sell them now. I am really glad I didn't. Have the insignias for primes trailer sitting at the superbuy(China) warehouse right now.

 

I too got the MPP10 trailer whe ShowZ got them for 70 bucks. Had a hell of a time getting those blank emblem plates off though.





In any case, I pulled the trigger for Megs. I suppose if nothing else he will likely only climb in value after the last stock runs out should I ever choose to sell him later. What I'm worried about is the weak panels supposedly in the legs that are prone to breakage.

Tried transforming my Magten last night and boy I kinda wish I didn't lol

Transformation wasn't that bad, but overall not everything wants to tab in together, especially near the barrel. Something just doesn't want to fit.

Also I think I found the reason why the hips were so loose. the hinge part in the hips that drop down to clip together for the gun mode was so incredibly tight, the first guy who owned this must have forced it too much, wearing the screws on the hips out.

I didn't bother with the silencer since the barrel's inner peg doesn't fit anyway, the stock was alright though.

I'll likely never transform him back to gun mode again after this, it was an interesting experience though!

Guessing that something didn't click in completely near the barrel. On mine (IT-01), the barrel didn't droop downwards (like the official MP36 does)
