The sentinel doesn't have ratchets, and it was discovered that you can just tighten a screw hidden underneath the joint covers to fix the loose knees.

Also Victory Saber isn't going to cost 350 dollars or 26 inches tall.

Figures are so good these days that people have to resort to complaining about completely unreasonable things

 

What I mean is that it was designed with retail pricing in mind and probably couldn't figure out a way to get it to retail. Selects is reserved for repaints with, at most, some new tooling. So, Victory Saber got Haslabbed. It's a titan class toy with shipping baked in, essentially.

Would some of us want to toss another 10 to 20 at it to rid it of the waffle parts? Probably. But I think they are sticking with their initial plan in order to maximize sales by making it so affordable, few can reason their way out of not supporting it due to costs.

 

Also to answer your question: not quite. Most Hasbro action figures use different materials than Transformers, which are almost always ABS save for things like nosecones and spikes which are made of softer PVC. You'll also see nylon in a lot of Transformers for the joints and parts that are under a lot of stress. Marvel Legends, as well as Star Wars and GI Joe, et al, are usually made of PVC and are a bit rubbery. The Sentinel was mostly harder ABS, though, but as Taurus pointed out that wasn't a material issue so much as a design issue and was somewhat easily fixed.

How does this pertain to Star Saber? Who knows, but I thought it was interesting.

You are right. The mainline/generations have become so good that some figures are called mini masterpieces now. I think people are expecting masterpiece type presentation.

 

Please don't. Please, no, no, no, no. They are not mini mp..... They are good, they are fun and not simplistic messes anymore. But the mainline is not masterpiece grade.
I will kick the shins of any reviewer that keeps saying that nonsense.

 

Calm down buddy. It's just an OPINION. Which a lot of people happen to share. You're allowed to have your opinion also. Doesn't mean you're right or wrong. Again, it's just an opinion.

And yes you are allowed to have that opinion. But they are of two completely different build qualities.

Yes I know FT is different than other MP figs but even MP 08 has more mass and a different build quality than Studio Series 86 Grimlock.

 

Mini doesn't just mean smaller. It also means limited in scope. Mini-MP means that they are going for the same aesthetic, but on a smaller budget.
