This German review has the sparkly cannon

After watching that review, I'm torn on the stickers. I do like him with the stickers, but as the reviewer pointed out that trying to line up and repositioning the stickers as well as transforming it, some of them has started to peel up, and/or get damaged.

I've decided I'm not going to sticker him up, he'll be my marvel comics Galvatron. Now I can't decide if I want Kingdom Galvatron to have the sparkly cannon or leave on the selects one.

 

I decided when preorders went up to get two. One will have the stickers and one won't. If I mess up a set of sticker at least I will have another. Worst case I have to buy some 3rd party stickers.

 

I have two on order as well. One to leave “clean” and one to likely use 3P upgrades and toyhax. I hope we get a new crown piece color matched to the head

 

I\'m expecting the Hasbro stickers to be trash. Let\'s see what ToyHax does.

 

I noticed the way he kept re aligning/re applying most of the stickers with just his fingers, the expected result happened. he should have started with tweezers from the get go.

 

I wish they just tampo printed the figure instead of giving us stickers.  

 

The upside down insignias on cannon mode look goofy and mistaken, which they basically are: it's an attempt to recreate the appearance of the G1 animation model which transformed differently from the Kingdom toy. They should be "pointing" forwards in robot mode in order to be right side up on the cannon.

 

Yes, he definitely should of transformed it into space cannon mode before he applied those. Good to know a head of time, but for the first time following those instructions, you'd think that hasbro would of been smart enough to not be slavishly G1 toy accurate just for this one instance.

 

Noticed from that German video review that the sticker sheet actually includes red and yellow stickers for his belt!


But they're missing from the sticker map in the instructions, which is presumably why we haven't seen any images of them applied to the figure.

 

Interesting. Good for those who don't want to paint, but I think I'll still be taking to him with a brush  

 

I could never get my head around the fact that Galvatron has convenient access to a time machine in Target: 2006.

I understand, now, the secret to time travel was hidden in a tattoo of Unicron on Sweep Number Four's skidplate!

I can understand that, if you really wanted that g1 toy look you're kinda stuck fighting with the stickers, lets just hope they're good quality adhesive.

For me, im happy they left the stickers optional. they said their reason was to make it "more g1 toy accurate" so i guess Hastak wanted to replicate the expierence of getting a g1 fig and having to sticker it yourself, which is kindof a weak excuse lol. That aside, im just pumped this gen selects is both your g1 toy galv, as well as your marvel comics galv. if i hadnt already fought tooth and nail to get my purple galv i probably would be grabbing this one for those marvel g1 comic colors.

Give us a third (maybe fourth owo) gen selects galv where its the grey, but cel shaded like in the comics, not dissimilar to the 35th anniversary prime and megs we got a bit ago.

 

This looks great, but I still haven't seen Kingdom Galvatron at retail....

 

I'm glad the stickers are unapplied. He looks a lot better without them. I'm gonna throw the sticker sheet in the garbage when I get it.

Reminds of when people hate a toy so much they say they toss it in the trash instead of selling it or giving it a new home.

That upgrade kit looks rough.

I think I'll wait and see if DNA makes a better looking, injection molded version.

EDIT: I figured, for the sake of comedy timing, I'd wait about 10 minutes before adding I hope your recovery is speedy and you're comfortable.
