Maybe I'm being overly optimistic but seeing MotU offerings sell out like they have so far via Mattel Creations is another feather in the cap for the brand's current direction in the toy division. The hope is that future offerings will be made in larger numbers so that Mattel can sell more, which is the name of the game. Everyone benefits with the producer making more money and the consumer (us) having a better chance at securing what we want. Obviously, it's still rough right now in the earlier stages of Mattel Creations' existence. It also doesn't help that exclusives aren't made to the same volume as retail products so when the demand far outweighs the supply, we get things like sell outs within minutes of pre-orders opening. However, money talks, and again, if Mattel sees that, for example, they easily sell 500 units this time, the hope is that they'll make 750 or 1000 units next time they put something up on Mattel Creations and keep going with increasing production volume until the sales numbers tell them to do otherwise.
Yeah, I can do paypal. What's your price? You can PM me the details (got to be away from the PC for a bit)
I really hope so, I love the Grayskull Space Suit and I missed the set by 5 mins. Battle Armor Faker would be sweet too.
Retail brother retail. I don’t mark-up fans. I’ll remind you in November or whatever when they get here you just have to cover shipping. You got one today though.
Just wait they are comming Mattel is going to milk that tooling. If there is one thing you can depend on its profit. Also Power-Con Exclusives are never stand-alone tooling.
I should mention keep checking BBTS for pre-order cancellations today for Duplicat, Horde set etc. Marked up but still a better deal than scalpBay.
^ ..part of the reason I placed my first order for MOTU product via Mattel directly. I've purchased everything else in years past via brick and mortar or ebay. I bought directly this time to send a message. If a company puts in the effort and brings me/the supporters product we want they need to be rewarded financially. As I mentioned before and as everyone knows.. "Money" is the only language corporations speak.
Managed to snag the Greyskull set and Sun Man. Debated the Triclops but dont love it. Ill probably regret it next week.
The good news is Triklops lasted 20 minutes with an order quantity of 5 and was only $18. Hoping Wun-Dar is similar.
I’m hoping we see a marlena head on that spacesuit painted white from the rainbow warrior. a John blackstar head on that white spacesuit would be awesome too
You know what I just noticed after all these years? Every MOTU figure is in an "action pose." The figures are in a crouching attack position, Battle Cat looks like he's ready to bounce, etc. The documentaries even call it out as a selling point over other figures at the time. But Stridor is in this static stopped position like he's about to be tied up outside the saloon or like he's about to bow like some Lipizzan Stallion. It's a big, yet unnoticed contrast to the rest of the line.
Hoard set - Got it Faker set - Got It Greyskull set - Got’em! Sun-man and Triclops? Got Both of them! Canceled my BBTS preorders for anyone interested.
Fingers crossed that Battle Armor Faker comes with Skeletor's skirt and staff in orange. I know, not likely. But I can dream, can't I?
Problem is that I think Wun-dar is more beloved and in higher demand than the repainted Tri-klops. I’m expecting a rush on him.
We should be so lucky. In a perfect world BA Faker come with the Origins He-Man head, a battle damaged head, the orange havoc staff, orange He-Man ax and orange Skeletor skirt.
