I kept my t30 trailbreaker for the same reasons, plus I already had him. You just gotta accept he is now the same size as hound rather than same size as Ironhide.

 

I think someone made an oversized ko version of the old mold.

 

The oversized version would be way too big

 

Recently, I got my hands on Retro Brainstorm, finally completing my collection of the main HMs from the TR line.



I got Chromedome back in 2017 and bought the others just before the reissues came out (most for their original, cheaper price). I must say, this group has grown on me. They stand out from the norm of G1 Autobots by having a variety of colours and types of vehicles, rather than just being red cars. *cough* Target Masters *cough* I may be crucified for saying this, but they're helped by the deviations from the 80s designs, giving them more personality. Chromedome's IDW head has nice flair to it and Hardhead's bulbous, armoured arms give him a tough-guy look. Although, Brainstorm being the odd one out, with his HM cartoon face having no mask or visor, actually works well to make him stand out as the nerdy one.





I also sometimes add in Twinferno, just because.

 

Wreck-gar showed up this afternoon. I had such low expectations for this figure, but dammit if he isn't another great one. Kingdom/SS86 might have a few below average figures, but I'll be damned if the overall range hasn't offered some of the best figures in the last 20 years.

This Galvatron is an absolutely superb figure. It's crazy what a difference a few years make as far as engineering is concerned. At some point I want to do a list of the top 20-30 CHUG figures ever made. This guy would make that list for sure.

I think that Cyclonus is the best CHUG figure ever. Period.

I really enjoy the reissued Headmasters from the Titans Return line. While not an exact representation of their cartoon selves, their decos are an improvement over the original releases with the one exception with Brainstorm. The Reissue featured far too much gray on the limbs for my taste.. so, I attempted to paint my copy with so-so results. Then I stumbled across a decently priced Legends Brainstorm and purchased him immediately. The foursome look great together.

Pretty good. I'm surprised that he actually has limited ankle pivot and waist swivel. His hands are limited tho, can't hold 5mm weapons whatsoever
