Why wouldn't it open to Japan? Just be patient, that surge will come.

there is less than 28 days left in the Haslab Victory Saber campaign. We know for a fact that Takara Tomy likes to charge a premium for all the products it offers in Japan. So while $180 USD is still a lot money, Victory Saber will probably cost way more in Japan when converting to the Japanese Yen. Many people need time to save up/plan ahead for any big purchase. Of course the longer it takes for the Haslab Victory Saber campaign to finally open up in Japan, the less time it’s giving the people there to be able to buy it.

Prediction: If we make it to 20k and Menasor does well then we might well get a Road Caesar.

We're not even halfway to the end date, and yet we're already over 2/3. They haven't even opened Japanese orders yet, and there's always some decently-to-extremely-large rush of orders in the last 48 hours. We'll be fine.

The e-tailer orders will be added in the last week. With Unicron it was 4 days from both end dates. (Original end and extended end dates.) At this point it's pretty much guaranteed this is happening. It's just going to be a slow slog of "will we hit 11k before those orders get added to the tally". And trust me, once we hit 11k all the "I'm not backing this until it's guaranteed!" people will crawl out of the woodwork and we'll see an explosion of interest.

How many different credit cards would you need to work around the limitation of 5 per customer?

I may have misunderstood the license TakaraTomy holds. Was enlightened that Hasbro gave Takara the Transformers License in Japan as part of an exit deal negotiated over a failed sales deal of rechargeable cars that were never produced or sold in 1983. Just how far that license reaches is unclear still...

I still am dying to know if Takara is on board with this...

The only thing TakaraTomy does with Transformers completely independent of Hasbro is make the Masterpiece line. That is why the line is filled with Diaclone-inspired/Japanese-exclusive redecos of figures. Every mainline release of a figure is the same whether it is distributed by Hasbro around the world or TT in Japan ever since Power of the Primes. Even before that when TT would release different version of Hasbro figures, the biggest difference for most would be the paint applications. The only time I can think of TT making a whole exclusive figure was Legends Super Ginrai and Godbomber set, and that did not turn out good in my opinion. Every Hasbro stream they mention how Hasbro designers work with designers at TT.

I still hate those waffles on those two big cannons. I wish getting rid of those would be a stretch goal.

I feel like something like that shouldn't be on a Haslab piece.

Unicron's rings weren't the smoothest things ever. Not ideal but seems to be on par

HasLab isn't really about "high quality" but more about "limited quantity." For example, Unicron didn't have better paint apps when compared to the average WfC figure just more of them. These are supposed to be collectibles on par with their main line that are too costly to sell at retail due to the size of the collectible or the demand for it.
