I saw a comment on FB where a Joe fan made just tiny changes to the story of Snake Eyes movie and it made the plot a thousand times better. I was so stunned to read that. Wish I saved a link to that comment or took a screenshot.

But it goes to show how a small change can make or break a movie.

I think it's far enough along that it should manage to be fine. Paramount+ is a real possibility, though.

Based on absolutely nothing but gut feeling, I don't see Disney grabbing Transformers anyway, they already have the two biggest boys franchises under their belt and aren't really hungry for more, or atleast, not hungry enough to be highest bider.

I'd bet on one of their desperate competitors being the ones that will be wanting to get their hands on some IP for their group and thus paying the bill if Paramount goes under.

How about Angel Manuel Soto's project? Is that more likely to be cancelled or pushed to streaming?

Depends on where it at rn I can assume he hasn't started working on it really since he's gonna be filming/making Blue Beetle soon so I feel like that could be canceled unfortunately they're not far along into production by the time ROTB comes out (and it isn't a success)

Is it possible that Hasbro already has plans of producing movies on their own, independently, in a similar fashion to how Marvel Studios begun, before being acquired by Disney? Maybe eOne has something to do with it? Maybe that Angel Manuel Soto movie has something to do with that as well?

I highly doubt they're simply waiting to see how ROTB will do in 2022 to decide what to do with their contract with Paramount, which is also ending in 2022. Big decisions like that aren't taken in the last minute. There have to be plans in motion already.

No clue. I think that's still in the very early development process so it was never a sure thing.

I'd love to see a Paramout+ N.E.S.T series set canonically after the 1st movie, leading up to Revenge of the Fallen, and then leading up to Dark of the Moon, similar to Clone Wars series. Utilize the same designs of ROTF Breakaway, ROTF Mindwipe and Skystalker, HFTD Bludgeon, DOTM: The Video Game Warpath, DOTM: The Video Game Silverbolt, and DOTM: The Video Game Air Raid. Stratosphere as well. Then they can make new Studio Series of them using their original designs.

I'd love to see episodes dedicated to certain classic characters like Starscream, Ironhide, Arcee, and Sideswipe, maybe delve into their origins like how she became one mind, three bodies, or how Starscream got his tattoos. They could also promote Studio Series Overload by having him as a villain of the week episode seeing his design in motion would be cool. And they could turn Jolt into a character, with some depth, and we'd love him even more than we do now.

They could utilizes stories from previous tie-in media like those episodes of that Cyber Missions web series, but handled better of course. Especially that episode that introduced Mindwipe was pretty good and would make for a good villain of the week episode. Especially the IDW Movies Comics they could take from, like what Dave Filoni did for Clone Wars and The Bad Batch taking stories from the comics and reworking them for Clone Wars. Maybe even the DOTM Video Game.

For characters like Sam and Mikaela, they wouldn't need to get Shia or Megan as they could get voice actors to portray them in animation.

This could really improve the universe and really flesh out the world and characters. Maybe something like WFC Trilogy could work with a higher budget and better talent.

Yeah, but a good sign was Shang-chi. It was an exclusively theatrical release, and set a record for Labor Day weekend period, doing double what is the norm for good on Labor Day. Though slightly below Black Widow on opening weekend, it was a cheaper film. Also, they have to realize that releasing straight to streaming is just going to make piracy easier and films being pirated sooner.

Shang Chi is doing so good that Venom 2 got pushed up a few weeks to the beginning of October and convinced Disney to have all their 2021 films be exclusively in theaters. Also like your last sentence is part of the reason TSS isn’t doing great box office wise like Free Guy and Shang Chi are.

You can do power rangers on a low budget.

I don't think you can make normal conclusions if that's true, because if you're the only new movie on the block.... and you're a Marvel movie even in a reduced revenue environment you'd clean-up.

So almost no competition and a Marvel movie with good word of mouth ... Those are almost the best possible inputs.

Plus how long would we have to wait for Disney to get around to doing a Transformers movie if they picked up the brand? They spent big to get the mutants and Fantastic Four only to have nothing announced about when we get movies or shows.

A studio that needs more franchises might be a better fit. Feels like Universal or Warner Brothers would have more room to roll out a Transformers movie.

Still, it was quite the feat, Labor Day weekend is a traditionally a slow weekend under normal circumstances. It does show the benefit of not doing day and date with theatrical and streaming, also a Labor Day weekend with way less travel (though that was probably less expected). Families were spending over 100 bucks going to that thing in a theater between tickets and concessions.
