Man, what a shitty origin. As in sad not bad. Fuck I think anybody would come out like him after that scenario. Bravo to actually going with the dead dog scene, always takes guts to go forward with that.

I'm rooting for Spinner and Twice's break through makes me extremely happy.

Also dear god is Gigantomachia just abosoulutely terrifying in concept.

One thing I really like about MHA is the origin of the villains and how you can understand where they're coming from.

Yeah, I knew about this earlier in the week. This is the second time this has happened in the last few months.

I’d lying that I wasn’t concerned. Writing this detailed and emotional manga has got to be putting the strain on him.

It’s happening a lot in the weekly manga space. The writer of Jujutsu Kaisen, who is friends with the writer of My Hero took around a month off. The writer of Black Clover has taken quite a few breaks too.

Nevermind back in the day where Tite Kubo was constantly breaking on Bleach because SJ worked him so hard that he almost went to Soul Society

Just hope they support each other then. Because the last thing any of them need is to be put in an early grave like Kentaro Miura. Leaving them forever unfinished and the anime adaptation left to have possibly subpar endings!

Sorry, it’s just I’ve grown to be very invested in the MHA story, like seriously I’ve never been this engrossed in a story before…

Its more getting out an new issue a week more than the story. That is a lot of work. Leaves very little time for personal life or taking normal breaks most of us would from work. It’s usually a 7 day a week job.

I’m surprised he’s been able to keep it up as long as he has…

That’s why more Mangas should be a writer/artist combo. Eases the burden so that both parts of the manga are at their best.it’s a lot to demand one guy to do it all.

A good recent example of a weekly duo is Dr. Stone.

Well, that was another banger of an episode.

Bones really did good these last three.

There’s a side of him that you didn’t get to see, because a lot of scenes focusing on him in the manga were cut.

Okay this is just a theory based on things already shown in both the manga and the show. So it isn't a spoiler

I've been wondering for awhile if Deku wasn't always quirkless. We know the Doctor who told him he was quirkless was the one working with shigaraki and all for one.
It's long been hinted here and there that Deku's Quirk was stolen.

There is a major link between the 3 the writer has been hinting at.

So based on the recent episode we know shigaraki's came on suddenly when he was around the same age as Deku. As if he suddenly received it out of the blue.

So maybe his Quirk was Deku's original one.

There have been a lot of hints over the years of parallels between the two of them.

Is it just because of their mentors? Or is there more too it?

There has been an ongoing fan theory that Deku's never seen father is all for one.
So Deku inheriting a destruction quirk is very believable.
We know next to nothing about Deku's father. They are holding back some big surprise for him.
He's either all for one, a villain, or some one killed by all for one. There has to be a reason he vanished.

I've been more or less convinced All For One gave shigaraki his quirk as a twisted revenge on either shigaraki's Grandmother or a long term plan to torture All Might for a while now. It's too unlikely to be a coincidence. It all comes off as a twisted master plan. But where did that Quirk come from?

I'm probably wrong, but some of the clues just seem to be there.

Shigaraki is in his early to mid 20s though and Deku is like 15

The timeline wouldn’t work. Tenko got his powers at 5. Deku wouldn’t have been born yet

Though I believe Deku does have a quirk that All for One and the doctor stole. The quirk All for One explicitly regretted not having when he fought All Might the first time was hyper regeneration (All for One obtained too late/after his injuries but Tomira gets it in S6). I wonder if Deku didn’t have the hyper regen quirk - which him and his mom probably wouldn’t have noticed, because it’s a passive ability.

Ah I didn't take the ages into account good point. You also bring some good points to think about. ...So the question remains who did All for one steal Shigaraki's quirk from? And why did he set up that situation? The grandson of one of his one for all enemies, it's too unlikely to be just a coincidence.

Also still waiting to see what happens with Nighteye's premonition of All Might's fate. The current arc in the manga seems to be leading to that type of story.

The current arc is listed as the final chapter, so I'm sure everything is going to wrap up sooner than later (unless we're getting MHA Shippuden)

The current arc has some strong hints at the traitor, All Might's eventual passing, etc.... A lot of stuff that's been largely left behind in the plot

Wouldn't be surprised of another spin off or time jump. We already have the illegals prequel manga. (keep hoping an anime of it is coming) Fairy tail had a final manga arc, they then had 2 spin offs and the 100 years quest manga. I could see him doing a Dragon Ball and taking a well deserved break for a few years then staring up a new arc.

MHA Vigilantes may get an anime soon. There's supposed to be some sort of Vigilante-related announcement soon. That manga is in its final arc too

Everyone keeps saying that, but it’s more so the final ACT.

Yeah, but for a manga already in the 300s a final arc/act/however you want to phrase it doesn’t mean there’s that much to go. Probably within 100 chapters - Id guess around issue 400. Recent issues have made that even more clear, like how the last issue had future Deku clarify that this is the story of “how they ALL became the greatest heroes”

Deku has one more quirk to learn and can pretty much use 100% with faajin. Ochako is thinking about how she needs to settle things with Toga. Todoroki and Endeavors family getting ready to face Dabi, all those hints about the traitor, talk about All Might not being needed anymore / whether he can still be of use with Stain of all people motivating All Might to not give up (probably leading to him fulfillling the night eye prophesy). All for One fulfilling his final plan by moving into a younger body and healing it up for the final battle.

Pick any plot that hasn’t been resolved. They’re all close and we have an idea where each one is going.
