Question. If you were to never transform Mindwipe would the plastic for the wings/legs still shatter? Or is it a matter of the chemicals used in those areas?

I only bought the TR version probably a month before the retro reissue was announced and have not opened yet. As far as QC issues with the TR deluxes the Decepticons really got screwed.

Although he's probably my least favourite of the deluxe Autobots, I really like his head sculpt.

I'm a big fan of all of them! Highbrow has arguably the most simplistic transformation (accurate to his G1 self) and this is more of a personal thing but I prefer it when TFs with helicopter alt modes have a way to freeze or store their blades in robot mode (e.g. Generations Springer, Siege Spinister).

On a more general note, I think Hasbro and Takara did a fantastic job with Titans Return/Legends. This is by far my favourite modern TF line.

    We have:
    - classic characters tastefully updated
    - mold reuse that doesn't feel as cheap as Combiner Wars
    - a range of decos to choose from, TR/LG/Retro
    - additional titanmasters sold individually
    - some of the best transformations in TF history (Triggerhappy, Topspin)
    - generally good design, good proportions
    - lots of cool alt-modes
    - a gimmick and line that lives on (Earthrise Snapdragon, Scorponok)

Point 3 especially is perfect for very picky collectors like myself. I can carefully mix and match variants to build my ideal collection (in this case, LG Chromedome, TR Highbrow, Retro Hardhead and Brainstorm).

Highbrow would have been so much better if they had just made the blades collapse down, I believe they are already two pieces. That way you could move his arms and not get the blades caught all the time.

Yeah the G1 toy could do that, I suppose it wasn't in the parts count budget for TR. A Spinister-style blade lock would have also been better so the blades don't interfere with arm motion.

Octane looks good here, well done!
