I've really enjoyed the guns that these figures have come with, for the most part. Roadblock is the only exception. I really dislike the cartoon laser rifles that everyone prefers; the only exception is the Cobra trooper gun that looks l=kind of WWII. On another note, I ordered the Jada Joe 15 pack. Those things are pretty charming. I've got the VAMP preordered as their cars are really cool! Looking forward to their HISS tank.
I think it was generally accepted that it was a M3 "grease gun" (though arguably slightly distorted by overseas artists who didn't have a frame of reference for the real thing).
Yeah, I’m spending more just trying to arm my figures. They’ll probably make the “right” weapons someday too. After they’ve milked the line a few times over.
I'd settle for a standard Joe rifle in multiple colors. But a set of upscaled retro guns in blister pack like they used to do would be fantastic as well. Such as the Baroness' Laser Rifle and her Cobra themed back pack.
I've been fine with most of the guns. Even the fork, lol. Beach Head's energy rifle was the first one that was off-putting to me. I'm swapping it for one of the Gridiron AR with grenade launcher units. Feels like a way better fit. I'm changing up the rifles the Vipers come with but only because I'm chasing a particular look, not because there's anything inherently wrong with the stock units.
Agreed. Between the weird design and the all green it just looks terrible. And I’ve been fine with pretty much all the guns so far
It's more then a "weird design", it's a copied design. It's a shrunk down Nerf Vortex. Hasbro uses Nerf blasters for a lot of their figures now.
Not gonna lie, I'd love for the Classified guns to be painted in the Nerf colors as part of a Pulsecon exclusive set or something.
Yeah, I think that's been a known quantity for a while now. Not that it hurts to have it reiterated though. My only thing is, that particular weapon would have been a better fit for a more futuristic character like Sci-Fi or even the B.A.T.s IMO.
I’ve been watching the old cartoon on Tubi. Weird question, do the Joes know that the weird twins they fight are the same weird twins that run Extensive Enterprises? I mean in one episode, the Joes go to their offices, have a talk and then just leave.
Yeah that’s probably partly my fault. I think I’ve posted here about it before because I find it both fascinating and frustrating at the same time.
Feh. I wouldn't worry about it. It's not exactly a big deal and for some it's trivia that's value-additive.
I love the sci-fi guns myself. I'd rather GI Joe be more near sci-fi than necessarily so tied to ARAH and/or realistic guns. When Cobra has directed energy weapons and the Joes just shoot regular bullets? That's the definition of undergunned.
I found him sealed in an old shed, now I wish I had picked up more of these and not the smaller scale.
That sucks, I still like your idea though the execution looks great Young Lando might have to much hair, but the unmasked BP heads isn't a bad idea since there's like 4 of them with none looking like Chadwick Boseman (RIP) Cobra Island Stalker vs regular Stalker I'd say the left head would look the best but Stalker is known for the mustache so maybe the middle head would be best And I still think this makes the best base Stalker for a custom after so paint its perfect for where the modern classified look is going with I love that they do that I miss those figures, I wish I gotten the Storm Shadow Rumble in the Jungle figure with the Tiger and Recondo with the Aligator
Yeah, not Joe related but I bought a few parts for TFs from this Nonnef I've seen people recommend. Just hubcaps for the Datsuns and spoilers for the space Countachs so far. I resisted for a long time because it's dumb to have to spend another $5-$10 with how far prices have risen on these things...
