I use MP-29+ with hands from MP-29 for what I consider the perfect Shockwave. I also painted the eye yellow as the light piping doesn't really stand out.

Yes, but except you did not buy them. Idiot.

    But nevertheless, here we are.

I had forgotten how AMAZING 29’s transformation is. Truly amazing. Intuitive and ingenious at the same time.

The leg transformation is by far the MPest moment this amazing mold offers.

But the best thing about it is the colors. Just hard to describe for those that don’t own it TBH. It feels like a premium version of the Vanilla version, as great as that one is. It is painted, and it is GORGEOUS.

Also, tampoed insignias are IMO what makes an MP an Official MP. No buts about it. It DOES make a difference.

This mold is one of my favorites. Solid, fun to transform, and incredible looking.

It was a mistake not buying this on day one.

I truly feel like I just got a new MP. A new mold, even. I’m that excited about finally owning it. God, I love it more than 52 if that makes any sense.

I’ll never, ever, pass on a G1 TT EX ever again (not re colors though, this is the exception)

I’m in love with this thing. Jaw dropping really.

My only MP on display as of now.

I truly can’t put this thing down. What a solid, beautiful toy this is. So fun to transform back and fort… no scratches, no stress marks, absolute perfection.

    I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MP29+

I feel like a kid on Christmas morning man. This is what the MP line is all about!

For the Decepticons. We still need a few more Autobots to make it totally perfect.

Are the grey thighs painted? I only though the purple was full paint.

Congrats, buddy, I remember you looking for this figure for ages. It really is a great figure, one of my favourites. The colour change from the original makes a world of difference....almost like a new toy and that fluid, elegant and enjoyable transformation, particularly in the legs is a joy to behold.

    Good pics.

Now, if only some of your good luck can rub off on me so I can find an FT-44, Thomas for less than £210 I would be a happy bunny!

Thanks partner, I appreciate your words. It’s been a literal journey to find this this figure and I’m glad I did.

You still on the hunt for a Thomas then? Man, that blows. It is a very good figure, but the current rate is just a no go. Check showZ regularly as those dudes seem to get magic stock sometimes.

    Hey everybody,

I thought I would revisit this as I was curious about availability of mp29+ in particular. There is not even a listing on ebay to be found at all. I remember reluctantly buying this, even though I had bought mp29 a month earlier. So glad I did! Also happy I picked up mp 36+ when I did.

I've seen him go for £250-£300 second-hand in the last year or two. I dread to think what new would be.

I got very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very lucky a couple of months ago and got him for £95.

    (That's 29 "very"s.)

Although I would've loved to have MP29+ and think it's much better than the regular release (this is the one they should've released from the start), I regret not picking up MP-36+ a whole lot more.

There's just something special about the toy recreation of MP-36+ with the toy head, the chest detailing, all the other details and the chrome silver. (Especially annoying that Kapow once had him with a discount and I hesitated to long -- turned out to be the last day of limited time.)
