Not really. Both have their "fake" animal appendages sculpted in ways that don't resemble the real parts at all. So then it just becomes aesthetic accoutrements.

 

I'm going to put him with my Joes as their Cybertronian liason. Spirit is in for a shock.

 

With the difference that when they make a fake chest, the real parts are well hidden, and this is not the case with Rhinox and Skywarp, especially the latter, which is a complete head.

 

Like you said, she didn't have connecting artwork. There are Predacons in the box art for the battle across time sets, that doesn't make their mainline releases part of the subline of exclusives.

To be fair the original Siege mood looks more appealing than this in my opinion. Helps separate the two brothers nicely.

 

What I meant was that, because the "fake" parts are not sculpted to resemble the real parts at all, they're no longer "fake". They're just separate parts that kinda look like other parts.

Skywarp has a bird-themed hat that isn't his bird head, and Rhinox has a jaw-like chestplate that clearly isn't a Rhino jaw. Just like how the RID2001 Build Team feature helmets that have alt-mode elements on them, despite not being formed from any part of the vehicle modes.

Oh, and if it really bothers you, Rhinox's rhino jaw CAN be hidden away in robot mode.

 

Because he wouldn't be covered in cybertron dirt.
