RP sounds interesting. I've often thought of trying it out. But my english is neither good enough for this nor do I have really time for it. Unfortunately.

Yep, I'm as passionate about Transformers as anybody, but it's not worth getting enraged over. "No girls allowed" is such a stupid thing to get mad about lmao. Transformers isn't real, gender is fluid, just let people have fun with it.

for real, like i love transformers too (it's the only reason i still put up with this dumbass boomer website sometimes) but i've never understood people who get FURIOUS about the pop culture they claim to like when they can just as easily focus their attention on somewhere else lol. if they make every transformer a woman in the next tv show it won't affect my life in any significant way so why get angry lol

fans have been fine with female transformers since it started. It’s the whole “gender bending” aspect that riles people up. And not just in transformers.

But why? Who cares? Does it hurt the brand at all? Why get upset about it? And don't give me that "it's disrespecting the legacy" crap, that's a load of bull and everyone knows it. "Respecting the legacy" doesn't mean a damn thing in this franchise.

I don't think anyone's life was ruined by the 2016 movie lol.

again what point are you trying to make here i don't really care about ghostbusters and think people who got furious at the 2016 movie bc it was a reboot with (original btw) woman leads are fucking losers who never emotionally matured past the 80's so this isn't really the "gotcha" you think it is bro

and again those people need to get a life and move on, there's 35 years of transformers history behind them, they can focus on that if they don't like the new shit, but they shouldn't make it everyone else's problem

Fans care and fans don’t like it. And that’s not just the Transformers brand, it’s practically any long running brand part of the online “geek” culture. Just look at the backlash that the new He-Man show received. You are deluding yourself if you think “who cares?” means nobody cares when so many long time fans do actually care and respect the legacy of their chosen franchise.

Those "long time fans" were mislead by outrage clickbait YouTubers and got mad about Teela's haircut or some stupid shit like that. You really wanna use their reactions to support your position?

Anyway, Ratchet should be female for the next TF series.

    "2016 Ghostbusters"
You know, we can just let it die. It's not relevant to anything here. It's a thing that happened, nobody liked it, everyone moved on to better things.

I mentioned this a long time ago on another thread, I always had an easy time imagining what a genderbent version of G1 Galvatron would be like since mainly his toy design (especially the way the helmet/neck are designed as one piece) always reminded me of the Wicked Queen's design from Disney's "Snow White".

oh boo fucking hoo, the "fans" didn't get something that catered to every dumbass fucking wish they had, quit whining and move the fuck on. god i'm so sick of this idiotic mindset that everything now has to be "fOr ThE fAnS" or else it's trash, spoiled ass entitled "fans" have shown time and time again they don't actually know what they want and will actively cannibalize and ruin the franchise they claim to love because they can't STAND the idea of their precious little nerd shit being made for someone other than the people already on board. like sorry the thing you like is trying to change and adapt into something that's still recognizable while also being something that can thrive in the current entertainment climate, but if you don't like it maybe just, i don't know, don't engage with it? when has insane fan backlash ever worked? all it's ever done is ruin the franchises reputation and ensure that the thing they like dies because it never bothered to adapt.

also, you want to act like he-man had a "legacy"? get over yourself. it was a tv show meant to sell toys to babies. it's fine to like it, but don't delude yourself into thinking it's anything more than that, same goes for everyone who likes most of these nerd franchises. there's exceptions of course, but most of it is just made to sell toys to kids and to pretend it's anything more than that is just you not wanting to admit what it is. build a bridge and get over it, dude.

lol the he-man shit is so funny cause like, this is your franchises one chance for big mainstream exposure, big name stars are in this show, it's on a hugely popular platform - and then it comes out and they whine like Star Wars loser and successfully scare off any potential new fans because they've given the world the impression that they're all entitled manbabies. way to go you fucking idiots lol enjoy never getting another he-man thing because you've devalued the franchise you claim to love.

also yes but only if she's based on Nurse Ratched from One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest

for real literally the only people still talking about it are the same neckbearded crybabies bitching about it in the first place. talk about insecure as fuck lol

Fans just do not like change.

There was the whole “trukk not munky” debacle in 1997 then fans hated how Optimus Prime was a long-nosed truck with a flame motif in 2007 for the movie.

And elsewhere, the backlash against the Sonic movie was so strong the producers had to correct Sonic’s appearance.

And recently there were complaints about Faye Valentine’s appearance in the Netflix not matching up to her anime counterpart.

So to say shit like the legacy of franchises shouldn’t be respected is just an outright lie. There are many times of fans very much caring about the legacy and getting pissed when some uppity social activist dares to bend the race, gender, sexuality, even costume of their favourite characters.

I could get behind this if Galvatron were voiced by Lana Parrilla.

Damn that sucks, but just because the fans pull a hissy fit over something incredibly minor doesn't mean they're right or that they should be catered to. You say "fans don't like change" as if it's some immutable law of the universe that everyone must follow, when really it's just a generalization. Also, social activism and progress is a good thing. What's your problem with it?

And by the way, trukk not munky and Bayverse OP's flames are examples of fans overreacting and being stupid. They are in no way indicating that the "legacy" of Transformers should be respected, lmao. Especially when Beast Wars ended up being one of the most popular TF shows ever because of the changes it enacted.
