Is that a standard human alliance figure? It scales a let better with Jazz then I thought.

Got megs to tab together, so he's todays deskbot.

Is this tab meant to clip into his chest? He holds together without it, but trying to clip that bit together causes everything to pop apart.

Yup it’s the human alliance basics range Spike that comes with DOTM Backfire.

The scale of the mainline human alliance human figures is all over the place but the basic mechtech series go great with anything in the 1/32 range: 0E1FD5B8-3694-472C-8057-4DF7A0501CF9.jpeg
He even fits perfectly in the cockpit of the OSKO Nitro Zeus which is endless fun! 7C73CFDD-F479-4657-A06D-A2D8EEC85F85.jpeg
They even did a translucent black version of him that I’d love to collect as holo-pilots/bikers.

How is the original ROTF Voyager Starscream? He looks intriguing, I’m particularly fascinated by what appears to be his tailfins transforming into the crotch area that so many toys use faux parts for.

I really like him, moreso than the Studio Series figure. The transformation is really cool, with how it all folds out a bit like a switchblade or a multitool or something, and the wings and fins and everything have clever uses (the main wings splitting in half and curling to evoke the back thrusters is just divine). He also has an amazingly clean undercarriage... even if the hands stick out.

Transformed Barricade after a while, the only problems I had was aligning everything and tabbing it together.

that's pretty cool. Makes me wish they'd revisit this idea because I completely passed on it the first time around.

Was just wondering the other day where you guys went, welcome back!

My memory only goes back about a day atm tho so I can't really help you with what's happened; there was something about an OSKO Sentinel prime, and SS Jolt is a thing, and I made a meme? Something like that

Thats because they didn’t. That figure is not official.

Takara never released that mold in their main line, but they did release 2 exclusive repaints, one as Dark Optimus and the other was translucent. Both of which I own.

The only thing close to his picture was the Lucky Draw version. However his is nowhere near as detailed as this.

He posted a custom, and as customizer, I could immediately tell.

I want to love the MPM Ironhide- when I put the DNA Upgrade kit on it, (finally) I realized that I was just putting a bandaid on an ultimately poor figure. It's a shame, because it's actually quite beautiful! But beauty didn't put my mind at ease when the chest was flopping everywhere and my QC nightmare came in the form of tabs refusing to clip in and panels coming undone as I tried to pose it. Now it's not breaking and no plastic is snapping off, but it's a shame when you have a kit that has to fix a problem that never should have been there to begin with. (I know you've seen that line said 1000 times. Lol) But on the shelf, he looks great. Now...
    20210909203327~2.JPG
To me, this is how It should be done. A fantastic figure, easy and fun to transform, everything snaps in and everything works correctly. The flaws are really nothing so detrimental that you won't have fun with it. A fantastic figure and along comes the DNA kit which takes a 9/10 and makes it an 11/10. The feet can now really make poses more dynamic and natural looking, the bumper folds and makes a form fitting waistline, guns and knives galore to really emphasize "Weapons Expert." This is a cosmetic wonderland of fun, while our MPM now only actually works. Lol
    20210909203859~2.JPG

Those of us who got MPM Ironhide at Ross, I feel so lucky to have gotten this figure for such a low cost while others had to pay, what $100+ for it abouts? I don't remember Retail Price, but when the BM version came out, it cost me $80- bigger and slightly better in terms of the looks department. My BMB Ironhide felt like pieces were creaking and cracking and I actually kept chickening out to transform it because of how many stress marks, parts popping off such as toes, etc, and actual chipping I had gotten the first DAY I had it. To be honest, other than being based on appearance and shelf presence, I would say Ironhide needs a nice new update and a 3rd/4th party touch of today to really bring it into the present where we have some fantastic Transformers...

And all of this leads to:

WAH I WANT BLACK APPLE IRONHIDE. :'(

Tldr; I love Ironhide, he's my favorite Bayformer ever, but I wish we could have a figure that really does him justice. What we have is fine, despite the flaws, SS version seems to be my favorite.
