The Virgin "Geewhiners" and "Baybies" vs the Chad "Entire franchise enjoyers"

Sorry, where were we? Oh right. Man, how come there's so many videos and shots of Optimus, but we still don't have a single clear shot of Scourge without a tarp on? What's up with that?

Idc if it’s it’s Bay or G1 fans, the pissy and stagnant attitude of “Stop changing what I grew up with! New thing bad, old thing good,” just shits in everyone’s cereal and ruins the fun honestly.

I already want to see recordings with Arcee.
I need to know if she is going to drive herself or will she have a hologram like in ROTF or TF prime.

I continue to love this design for Optimus. Especially the back, even if it's "unrealistic." (So are giant transforming robots.)

    Yup.

But you forgot the person who also said that they were the “open minded” ones.

Then tell people to leave their G1 hate at the door, or to accept that this film might not be made for them and better luck next time.

I mean you could say the same about people who endlessly shit on the Bay films as well. It honestly just goes to show that criticism is fine for both respective iterations when it's appropriate, but if people are just going to interject it into something completely unrelated, it's the equivalent of that same behavior they reprehend.

I THINK I know that area. They're probably around Williamsburg. I could be wrong though, it's dark and hard to see.

I’ll go so far as to say that the Bayverse should open people up to different takes on a property. Hell, the Bee movies aren’t even straight G1- and people still get derangement syndrome over it. Never the less it’s a different take on the property.

Just like there room for a different Little Mermaid, different take on Cowboy Bebop, and even room for Zack Snyder’s Superman.

It crossed my mind that the reason we might have not seen her yet is because she won't have a hologram driver, and they'll have to use CGI for the motorcycle (a fully digital motorcycle would probably be easier than filming a motorcycle with a driver and editing out the driver). For all we know maybe she's driving around with Optimus, Bee, and Mirage in New York, and they just didn't have a prop vehicle on set (or they only had it on set for one or two still shots and no one happened to get a photo of it).

Somewhat unrelated, but it's a bit weird to me that the only vehicles we saw in Brooklyn and Montreal are Optimus, Bee, and Mirage. It looks like there's a big chase with Mirage, but we never saw any sort of villain car. Either they're running away from some sort of entirely CGI villain, or they're escaping the police. Or maybe Mirage is trying to get away from Optimus...supposedly he doesn't trust Optimus.

Cool to see Optimus Prime rolling around Brooklyn...but also irks me because I damn near went to NYC for a day this weekend while I was up in NJ! Just didn't know if I had the time and such, so I didn't end up going. Would've tried to get set photos had I known.

Ironic that I’m a NYer born and raised and of course they decide to film in my city while I’m on my first vacation in almost two years…

This is dragon and his ilk. But most of them don't get into my skin. I respect opinions. But for me dragon stands out because of the single-mindedness of nearly EVERY single comments of his. Replying but not responding. His "replies" are all nothing BUT shitting on people liking non-Bay and the TF franchise would've died without the Bay films, cut-and-pasted from a couple of clipboard scripts. But even that foolishness doesn't bother me, it's his lack of punctuation run-on paragraphs that seriously make my head hurt all the damn time.

And to be clear, I respect TF in all its iterations. Each series got its purpose & its target audience but I consume almost all (some only with the kids though). I only love G1, TFA, TFP though, the rest are different shades of "me like" to "meh". Live Action movies-wise, I liked TF 2007 and was indifferent of the subsequent movies (Other than some cool fight sequences, post-TF1 Bay movies are all average-to-bad for ME. Senseless Big EXPLOSIONS!!!! bore me. Stupid script and unnecessary retcon make my brain hurt. Overt sexism & toilet jokes disgust me. But I don't go on a hate-fest to shit on a movie that took ~2 hours of my LEISURE time that I didn't enjoy, it's just not worth the burned brain cells). That is until the BB movie which I found to be a great family-oriented TF film (with a serious E.T.-type vibe), which I wholeheartedly approve of as A direction. A TF movie that cater to the more adult side works for an even bigger audience is smart too though, as the franchise is 30+ years old. It just need to be in - DESERVE TO BE IN - a much better hand than Bay though, so I wish RotB takes on a different feel than BB to keep the TF movie franchise fresh and a profitable on-going concern.
