It’s easy to forget we are getting this at the end of the year. This was a year filled with MCU stuff, but now it’s going to close out with Star Wars.

I'd still like to see Bossk, IG88, Dengar, 4LOM and Zuckuss.

 

I’d love to see them too. Also Embo and maybe the members of Krayt’s Claw like Highsinger. There’s a lot of bounty hunters that could be featured.

They say there will be lots of flashback to Boba's life like from The Mandalorian and the Empire Strikes Back.

But they say the main focus of the show is about Boba Fett getting revenge on those who did him wrong. Basically this show is about him getting back at those he held grudges on.

It's also rumored Boba will have new armor in this show. Different from the Empire Strikes Back and The Mandalorian.

Obviously I'll reserve judgement until I see the final show, but I am a bit worried about the whole "revenge mode Boba Fett" thing. I've always kind of seen Boba Fett as the sort of guy who doesn't really have personal vendettas against people, he just goes after whoever he's paid to go after. I can see people wanting revenge on him, but I don't know that Boba really cares that much about his adversaries. Revenge seems like it would be a waste of time for him when he could be out making money.

I suppose the storytellers probably want to differentiate Boba from Din Djarin by making him a bit more vengeful (Mando is basically the ideal Boba Fett already), but I do hope they be careful about how they portray Boba here. If this means Boba is going to go after an older Mace Windu, I'm all for that. But I hope this isn't just an excuse to give him a rematch with a de-aged Han or Luke. I don't think Boba would give a single care about them.

I'm glad to hear he'll have new armor here. Which I'm guessing means he'll have the same armor, but decorated slightly differently (like a new jumpsuit underneath or a new missile or something). That's a no-brainer if they want to give him a distinct look for this show. I quite enjoyed Boba's look in Mandalorian, but I wasn't crazy about the robes. It was neat for the novelty of it, but it kind of looked like he was wearing a dress under his armor, lol. Hopefully they get him back to a jumpsuit here.

I also hope we get to see flashbacks with Daniel Logan.

 

Boba's whole character arc throughout Clone Wars was revenge/vendetta based

 

I've seen Boba Fett's episodes of Clone Wars, although that was probably a decade ago. Was his vendetta solely against Mace, or did he go after anyone else? I can't really remember at this point...

I'm fine with a revenge plot if it can be done well. Boba Fett has never really had a strong characterization (even the EU was inconsistent in how he was portrayed...sometimes he was more malicious and other times he was more noble), so I don't think it betrays his character or anything. It's not quite how I've always envisioned him, but I'm definitely open to it if it can be done well (which I'm sure it will be...Favreau and Filoni seem to know what they're doing).

 

Monday Night Football is coming up. I bet that's when we will see a Trailer.

 

I really do hope they keep up the honorable, but ruthless portrayal he had in The Mandalorian. I always thought Boba was a ruthless, bad person, but I loved the honorable old warrior he was in The Mandalorian. He legit seemed like a wise, trained professional and mentor, almost like Hudson to Goliath in Gargoyles (RIP Ed Asner), while still completely dangerous to those in his way or who he wasn’t in debt to. Hell he agreed to help Mando recover Grogu even though Mando never explicitly agreed to the deal, Boba just took the chance to reclaim his armor. That was a serious act of kindness I never thought I’d see from Boba. I want that Boba as the star of the show. More ruthless and aggressive than Mando, and probably without the warning that Mando had thanks to Grogu, but still honorable, wise, and more than capable of doing good.

I’d also like more expansion on his attitude towards the Empire. People have interpreted his comments on them as being unhappy they were back. He took payment from them, but it would still be interesting to see if he really did dislike them despite being willing to work for them.

And yeah, I think I wouldn’t mind seeing Boba and Fennec, and whatever empire they build, lend their support to the eventual Second Siege of Mandalore. If only because Boba feels some sort of alliance or friendship with Mando.

And I’d also like to see Mando show up sometimes at Boba’s palace, just to shoot the shit and maybe go on a mission together, and for once not get screwed over and walk into getting strongarmed into doing more shit. Again, Boba as a mentor would be interesting. Morrison just has this gravitas to him.
