Question for you guys, how do older SOC releases hold up these days? With the Getter Arc and Dragon D2, I’ve been staring down the older Getters, especially the gx-52.
GX-52 is really good a lot if diecast and more than adequate articulation. Probably my favorite Getter release.
Excellent to hear, it really does look fantastic despite being 10ish years old. It’s a bit pricey these days, but I think I’m gonna end up caving.
Generally SoCs don't really age, unless they have a lot of rubber parts. I had the OG Zambot 3 (GX-23,) and it was great. I've still got GX-45 and GX-48. They're smartly engineered pretty much independent of age, unless you go back real far to the starts of the line. Even those aren't bad though! I don't think you can really go wrong with SoC figures in general, unless they're notorious for some sort of design flaw/have dated aesthetics you don't like.
I’m still looking for the right deal or a reissue or update release of GX-08 Aphodite and GX-18 Dragon. I’d also take GX-25 Garada.
