I'm pretty sure that Rhinox was described as "Ironhide-like", maybe his personality or role amongst the maximals.

I'd still love to see Ironhide in the movie, hopefully he gets a better design than the BB movie.

I think someone even discovered it's a Topkick. I am beginning to lean towards thinking this is Ironhide. Probably changed to orange since Optimus is already a big red truck (and honestly, I'm fine with that considering there aren't really a lot of orange Transformers).

The black truck is Scourge and Cheetor is rumored/hinted to be in it.

 

I have no idea why people are saying the orange truck is Ironhide or an Autobot, when I'm like 99.99% sure it's another Terrorcon, given its proximity and aesthetic similarity to Scourge.

 

I don't think people distinguish like us fans do. When they say "Ironhide", i think they mean IRONHIDE Optimus Prime's tough old grizzled bodyguard and weapons guy.

Quite frankly if its Ironhide and he is tough, has a mohawk, a humanoid face and hopefully sounds in the realm of G1 I'm happy. Don't care what he turns into or what color he is.

Kind of goes with using Arcee as a Motorcycle and Bee as a Camaro. Ironhide is a big ass pick up truck. I can't believe I'm saying this, but Bay did a good improvement to Ironhide. A van does not fit Ironhide's personality. I'm cool with that change.

 

I do think another Terrorcon is likely, probably a bit more likely than Ironhide. That being said, I don't know that they transport these vehicles based on affiliation. If Ironhide doesn't appear until they reach Peru, they could have just transported the truck with Scourge. I would also make an argument for the stripes on the side looking more like an Autobot than a villain. Hopefully we see a badge in future pictures.

I honestly agree with you. G1 Ironhide has a great personality, but I honestly think he was a bit lacking in terms of design. The van was just whatever, and his robot mode doesn't really have many unique features. I would enjoy a version of Ironhide that has aspects of both...with a stronger lean towards the Bay design.

 

They still need to fix the face (not the head and the proportions, giving him a more Bayverse look, ad a bit more black, and boom great Design.
