Haven’t been following this thread… is there a recap on what you guys think will unlock at tier 2 and 3?

Star Saber didn’t have a shield on the cartoon or with the JG1 toy, right? Is that unique to the MP figure?

 

He did have it in the cartoon, hence why the MP included it, but very briefly, only for a few seconds in one episode.

 

All good. I've got no problem with people not liking the characterisation (even if it is my introduction to the character, and thus my preferred version   ). Everyone's allowed their preferences.

 

Yeah, I mean, I wasn't a fan of Roberts' take on Star Saber, but it's over and done with now. No reason to dwell on it. Heck, even if the figure Hasbro was producing was based on his IDW design I can give him whatever my preferred personality for him is when he's in my collection on my shelf. *shrug* That's actually kind of one of the great things about Transformers media being pretty diverse. There are enough different takes on many of the characters that it doesn't really matter.

 

Hey guys please pay attention to this reminder from the mod.

 

Happened across a Victory clip on YouTube and saw the shield that the MP used as a flight stand. It didn't hold up very well under heavy fire, but it exists as a thing. My bet is it will be part of the tier 2 unlock with something else included. Small version sword for Saber perhaps?

 

Star Saber is a hero and a very deserving Supreme Commander of the Autobot forces of the future. I think we all know that, and always will.

I guess I'm a bit nitpicky here. I think they nailed most of the design, but Starsaber seems to have slight monkey arms. It doesn't show much on the renders, the expo pics are more revealing... But could be camera angle... So still on the fence.. Ah well a month to think about it....

 

Interested if Hb/Takara will implement an actual Brainmaster feature or the MP go around with Saber pushing the face.

I would appreciate if his chest Ls are chromed. Same with his swords. Also, two sets of swords and a working landing gears.

 

We actually do know how his Brainmaster gimmick works; the Brain of Courage has Saber's face on its back, and stands in a turret bucket to give him (and by extension the combined mode with the V-Star) head articulation.

 

Hmmm I would rather the Ls aren’t chromed ,but definitely yes for the swords .

 

His forearms are big but I think those are his jet engines. I think they look cool personally. Like when they made Unicron wider then his animation moder. Add the chonk I say.
