Has anyone ever attempted to remove the face plate from Core Robot's head - and if so - what was their success rate like. The reason I ask is in relation to the inclusion of bonus additional blue eyes for Core robot with upcoming Fireguts version. I spoke to FH on Messenger about this and they advised previous core robots have their face plates glued on. But they also said you could still pry the face off and change the eye colour with the right tools. But it was kinda - do so at your own risk comment though. So I wondered if anyone else has tried it and what their findings were.

Ordered Orange Power Baser direct from Fans Hobby like a week ago; got charged today. Don't know if that's "We're getting ready to ship" or "it took us like a week to get around to processing your payment."

Been meaning to mention this for a while, and a guy PM'D me and it reminded me that I should throw this out there. I know that I previously stated in this thread that Power Baser was awesome etc. etc. I changed my mind VERY soon after purchasing this thing and the armor. I sold mine on eBay a couple of months ago, thank goodness. To be honest, if I were any of you, I would pass on this thing. I was very disappointed in the quality. That's one of several reasons why I sold it. All the joints felt loose and worn out right out of the box. Also, it's like there was no real definitive, locked-in way to transform it. The truck cab never locked-in and combined distinctly with the trailer in combined mode. I was constantly having to fiddle with it and it still never felt definitively transformed. It was just not a good figure in my opinion. I got it because I love Powermaster Optimus Prime and really wanted a badass updated version of the figure. This was not it. Not trying to hate on anyone that loves this thing. At first I loved it too. But, like most of my ex-girlfriends, it wasn't really love and I got tired of it and annoyed by it really quick. Anyways, just thought I would throw out my opinion and potentially warn anyone thinking about shelling out over $300 for this thing. I really wish this thing was a lot better than it is.

I agree with all of your points. However, knowing those points, I think if you want(and can) get him into a cool pose, he looks great if you never want to touch him again(lol). I'm 2 deep on this mold set and ready for the third because it's really striking to look at.

You are correct, sir. He does look great if you want to leave him in a pose.

I don't think I agree, though I kinda get where you're coming from. It's a little tricky to get the inner bot crotch lined up correctly but once you do, it pegs into the trailer and once you've got those red plates in the correct position on top of his chest, he's plenty solid. Only problem mine has is the hip plates falling out and that's just because I've been too lazy to slap some future on them. He looks great on my shelf and he's actually enjoyable to transform unlike about 80-90% of MP style figures. I would appreciate a little more posability but otherwise I consider him to be a pretty darn good figure and definitely the most fun of anything I've purchased this year.

Now I'll admit I'm probably a bit biased because I love PMOp and I really feel in love with the figure when I went to recreate the pose on that Marvel cover and he did it so well. The figure definitely isn't without its flaws, the biggest in my mind being just how freakin' thick he is front to back, but I thoroughly enjoy owning him.

Yeah this figure is sorta divisive. A lot of people think he's low quality and doesn't hold together but I really like him and lots of people have had no problems. I don't know if it's different QC or just different opinions but it's weird how differently people react to this figure.

To be fair, there’s currently two real attempts at a powermaster/Ginrai. All other ones either disintegrate or make a different spin altogether to avoid god bomber himself. Now it’ll kfc’s turn :p

I mean my issue with the figure is his proportions. His silhouette just makes him look so unwieldy and stumpy, especially with those tiny thighs, and especially especially once you strap Godbomber onto it.

That’s pretty much what happens when they do a what if design.

I suppose this figure doesn't really fit the mold of Masterpiece Transformer. The aesthetic is all wrong and it doesn't have the same bells and whistles of a typical MP figure. Also it doesn't closely match any established version of the character. So I guess that would make it divisive. Personally I'm ok with those aspects of MP but I don't think I place as much value on them as others. I don't need my toys to look like they stepped out of the TV - I just need them to look like the character. And while this one doesn't look 100% like PMOp, he hits enough visual cues to thoroughly evoke the character for me. And there's the stuff I already said about being fun to transform - he's one of the few figures in my collection, MP and Legends, that I pull off the shelf to play with. Most of my collection is too much trouble to really enjoy transforming.

Can anyone help me get a replacement part?

I'm missing the tip of one of the black gun barrels. Not the whole barrel, just the tip.

I got my MB-06C from bigbadtoystore. I contacted them but they don't have any replacement parts for this.

Any leads on where I might buy a replacement tip or the whole barrel?

    Thanks in advance.
