The new episode will not be Party Thor, but rather Marvel Zombies!

I've been enjoying the series so far, particularly the last episode. I like in general the darkness that the MCU is showing with having such great powers. Hopefully they'll explore more of it. I would rather enjoy having Scarlet Witch become the main baddie in an upcoming movie.

Tonights episode was okay. I did not see Kurt coming back. I hope next week’s is better.

Bettany did a great job as usual, too.

I had no problems with it, but it didn't really hit me. Last weeks is still the best IMHO.

However, I will add, full disclosure, I have never been a fan of Marvel Zombies.

Add me to the list of “it was good, but not quite a wowza!” I think the concept of Marvel Zombies just can’t really work for a single 30 minute episode. The scope is too big and the amount of characters that are involved just don’t get the proper amount of time to shine.

Last episode was so amazing because it had plenty of time to focus on Doctor Strange and his emotions. This weeks episode doesn’t have enough time to properly convey the severe amount of “oh shit” that a zombie apocalypse should have.

One thing that really surprised me was how comic accurate they went with a certain character. Also, that last shot is just

A nice episode, but the I wonder if the show peaked at Doctor Strange’s episode.

I thought todays was great, not as good as the one last week, but good. Loved the dad jokes from Scott. He's always had a good head on his shoulders...

Uncle Ben is finally mentioned! Also, I think there was a zombie Stan Lee cameo.

Definitely the most what if of what ifs, but I found that this episode is actually the weakest.

A ok episode but not the best. You know some parents are going to get upset over this episode however.

Also scott replaced jan (wasp) in the episode as she was the one in the jar helping in the comic. Also you know paul rudd had way to much fun with those jokes.

I'll be honest, I really haven't liked "What If?" so far. If I had to give my rankings for each Episode:

The Mighty Brexiter 3/10 - Super rushed, I honestly felt like a was watching a really shitty draft of Cap 1 with all the heart the OG Steve had sucked out of it.

Black Panter's Talk No Jutsu 2/10 - Disregarding the terrible idea that Thanos got talked out of his Genocidal conquest, the episode was painfully generic and I could call just about everything that was gonna happened minutes before it did.

Loki's Big Break 4/10 - Fine when I watched it but very forgettable.

The worst title I've ever seen Dr. Strange's No Good Very Bad Day 8/10 - The only episode I've genuinely enjoyed without any catch 22, great writing and animation (yeah, this shows animation is honestly pathetic about 80% of the time)

DCeased 3/10 - It's just a generic zombie survival story that suffers from the patented MCU tonal whiplash.

Glad you guys have enjoyed it, but this is just another and a recent string of MCU bombs for me. I think I'm out with the MCU. It had a good run.

I would never call the original Marvel Zombies practically deep or complex of a story, so for this being an MCU version condensed to an half-hour, it's pretty fair IMO.

Well, that’s the nature of What If? A story that’s all condensed together.

I mean I get not liking the logic of certain things, but when have horror things ever truly followed logic?

NTM, first name drop of Uncle Ben in the MCU.

And with that ending, it really feels like there should be a follow up.

First 5 minutes was super annoying with bitch ass Banner crying.
How did all the zombies become useless idiots but the Avengers retained their skills?

Same way they did in the comics...no one knows. Sorry for the bullshit answer, I guess the original Marvel Zombies would have been pretty boring if they all were unable to do their superpowers and abilities. I got used to this answer with Max Brooks' "Zombie Survival Guide" and "World War Z" (where he had his version of zombie be invincible against various things that would realistically destroy them by claiming "scientists have no idea why the virus defies logic like this, it just does".)

The Walking Dead is something I never want to see happen in real life, so to see it happen in the MCU, one of the most feel good uplifting heroic stories in fictional history, was actually pretty nightmarish. I hated (in a good way) that we kept losing people. I hated that for all the people we saw go, there were countless more who were already gone.

And at least in TWD they’re brainless zombies whose danger is numbers, being unable to get tired, and humanity having lost most of their technological edge and usually being more focused on killing each other. These are smart MCU characters and that’s a big ass problem.

I didn’t even know what to say at the ending, it sucks that it went down like this. I still had some fun, but damn. I don’t know that I’d want to rewatch this episode.

    On top of that,
Vision presumably slowly feeding T’Challa to Wanda is incredibly fucked up.
