    Excuse the crappy photos.

So the height of these ShunQiRun OSKO CW figures are confirmed 15.5cm / 6.1in (small voyager).
The Brawls come with an additional sword, and the Aerialbots, the spears.
    No Combiner Hand/Feet given.
This is what each figure comes with:

    IMG_20210831_041852_edit_14603556812353.jpg

Gun ports and combiner peg holes are 5 mm, so they only fit standard Hasbro CW combiner hand/feet.

The weapons are 5mm pegs, but I think the melee weapons are slightly thinner. They are a loose fit, and only the swords fit the Aerialbots' hands well. Guns no issues.
    IMG_20210831_145125.jpg IMG_20210831_151249.jpg IMG_20210831_164133.jpg IMG_20210831_232902_edit_16206765295962.jpg IMG_20210831_222022.jpg IMG_20210901_014837_edit_39723180143416.jpg

Combiner pegs are Oversized, so they don't fit the standard Hasbro CW torso bots.
They're 17mm. 2mm bigger. Can they fit the OSKO WeiJiang Hotspot?
    IMG_20210831_223924.jpg

Plastic is thick and hard. I'm not an expert on plastic, but it's definitely way better than the soft plastic that CBB uses for their KO combiner wars figures.

So far, I've transformed these like 5-6 times, and I don't think I noticed any stress marks. For an unknown KO brand and the price, I think the plastic is sturdy enough and gets a pass for me.

The plastic is also very light. These OSKO figures are only 15-20g heavier than my smaller CBB KO CW counterparts. In fact, the OSKO Aerialbots are a tad lighter than the standard size Brawl! Overall, they're so much lighter than the BMB OSKO POTP Dinobots. Here's a weight comparison:

    OSKO Aerialbots - 96-98g
    OSKO Brawl - 125g

    Standard Aerialbots - 82-85g
    Standard Brawl - 103g

    Standard Silverbolt - 155g
    Standard Onslaught -165g

BMB OSKO POTP Sludge - 150g

OSKO Air Raid & Sky Dive comparisons with non-Aerialbots:

OSKO Air Raid with MP 12 Sideswipe, BMB OSKO POTP Sludge & ER Starscream. They are all same height with Starscream, and slightly shorter than OSKO Sludge. and even shorter than MP Sideswipe.

Starscream jet mode still too big compared with the OSKO Aerialbots:

I think the whole team looks quite good with Onslaught and Starscream:

I will go through the robot moulds in my next post. There's some simplifications and minor annoyances.

Wow, thanks for all the pics!

They definitely look great, and my only qualm is the unpainted jet canapies. That I will try to fix myself however, if I'm ever able to acquire these guys that is.

Here are my thoughts on the moulds for the ShunQiRun OSKO CW bots:

    TOLERENCES

These 4 bots have tight joints in general, especially the Aerialbots. I was quite surprised. Only my desert Brawl has elbows that are a little bit loose, but he can still hold his gun up.

Air Raid here holds this pose solidly:
    IMG_20210901_040139_edit_37631228513006.jpg

    RATCHETS

The Combiner ratchets on the Aerialbots are fine, not the best, but OK. They can hold up the combined mode arm. It helps that these figures are quite light.

The ratchets on Brawl, on the other hand, are absolute rubbish. Doesn't hold up at all. The springs inside are too thin and weak, almost like thin wire. If you want to use them as combined arms, you'll need to swap to better springs.

Here's how the spring looks next to BMB OSKO POTP Dinobot ratchet springs (notice how thick those are compared to Brawl's):

    IMG_20210831_225055_edit_48089260396306.jpg

    ARTICULATION DIFFERENCES
    • Brawls have no head articulation whatsoever! You can only use the transformation joint to tilt his head back, that's it
    • Aerialbots' heads are on a peg, so no up/down, only 360, unlike the original
    • Aerialbots' have no thigh swivel
    IMG_20210831_225642_edit_15203260344032.jpg
    • Aerialbots' legs have less of a knee bend and sideward hip swing, compared to the original. May need to shave some plastic off to fix it
    IMG_20210901_153451.jpg IMG_20210831_140855_edit_15163002140913.jpg

    MOULD DIFFERENCES
    • Figures are completely plastic. No diecast, no rubber. So the nosecone and tailfins on the jets are hard plastic, unlike the original
    • Arms and legs are also more hollow compared to the originals
    Aerialbots:
    • Missing tabs and slots to tab the robot arms in Combined Arm Mode. Not a big deal, as the arms are tight enough to hold their positions
    IMG_20210831_140307.jpg
    IMG_20210901_151553_edit_47727246546882.jpg
    • Heads don't tuck in in jet mode since it is no longer on a ball joint, but a peg
    IMG_20210901_034040_edit_27370519789571.jpg
    • Legs can't be completely closed when in Combined Leg mode, due to extra plastic in the design. Need to shave it off to fix it
    IMG_20210831_234103.jpg

    Brawls
    • They added extra tabs and slots at the back to the turrets to secure it in tank mode
    IMG_20210831_153655_edit_523790989642991.jpg
    • Conversely, the turrets can't tab in at all in bot mode, as there is extra plastic preventing the hinge of the turret to sit completely in. Need to shave the plastic to fix it
    IMG_20210831_155439.jpg

    • Missing tab for bot arms to sit in during Combined Arm mode. Not a big issue as arms are strong enough to hold the position
    IMG_20210831_163022.jpg

    • Most annoyingly, Brawl's arms like to pop out easily as they are no longer screwed in, but are now attached to pegs that are a bit too small. Either have to to be gentle when fiddling with the arms so they don't pop out, or thicken the peg with nail polish, etc.
    IMG_20210831_161039.jpg

Overall, I think these figures are OK, the Aerialbots are definitely better than the Brawls for me. They are more solid overall and not as fiddly.

If you like the repaint or the upsize, then it's worth getting, but I don't think you should be paying more than the price of the Aoyi OSKO Siege Hound for each figure, in my opinion. These are worth the equivalent or slightly less, given the slight simplifications. But that's just me.

I have no regrets getting it, but I got them locally for the equivalent of $8 USD. If they were sold on Taobao, they might have been $1-2 cheaper, I'm guessing.

I hope they release a torso bot for these figures. Would like to see an OSKO Onslaught in camo blue, maybe.

Properly cleaned up I'd love one of those White Bumblebee's as a Movie Bugbite. Also customisers could have fun redecorating one with the same checkerboard pattern they did once on a Barricade repaint I bet too. actually adding some police light would have been nice though. especially as the red one is also Fire chief car and they maybe could have made a Taxi version too.

Wow! Thanks for your super awesome detailed reviews! Much appreciated! :thumb

Well, I mean technically, the official Chinese spoken language is PTG, which is a state-created simplified version of Mandarin... "the people's language" as it were.

But my question was not whether he was speaking Mandarin (it's very obviously not Cantonese) but if anyone knows what dialect or accent he's speaking with, since it sounds quite a bit different to me than most other mainland Chinese I hear. If it's a regional accent, I'm curious to know what it is.

*EDIT* Hmm, most references I find online are for pu·tong·hua which would make the abbreviation PTH rather than PTG... though I first encountered this terminology abbreviated as "PTG" - perhaps due to a romanization error?

I think it should be "Pu Tong Hua" instead of PTG , and in fact I never see people refer it to PTH before.
普通话 (in Chinese) is translated to Mandarin (in English), and "Pu Tong Hua" is just how to spell it in Chinese pronunciation.
    Just like:
熊猫 (in Chinese) is translated to Panda( in English), and the Chinese pronunciation is "Xiong Mao", but you will never see in English forum people refer Panda as "Xiong Mao", or XM in short.

About that reviewer, since his pronunciation about "si" and "shi" is same sound, I guess he might be from Sichuan province. But other than this minor issue, his Mandarin is pretty good, he has very light accent.

Most important reason, size. Although I eventually got PotP Blackwing/Darkwing, I think he's just too small. Them being deluxes just doesn't work for me and looks wrong. (I likewise, despite them being important characters to me, didn't get the Decepticon Targetmasters.) These KO's are bigger than the original, leaning more to small voyagers. That's closer to the size I want them to be.

Price plays a part. Those were never released where I live and although some online stores still have them, the prices have increased to sometimes uncomfortable levels. (Then there's international shipping and import taxes to make them even more expensive.) I'm not going to be pay leader class or more prices to get a figure I think is too small in the first place.

Finally, while Blackwing makes an acceptable Darkwing, Dreadwind just doesn't work. That figure would require quite a bit of modding to make him right: the wings should be on his torso behind the arms, the cockpit should be behind his chest...

The PotP figures are thus for me too small and too expensice, and on top of that one of them needs serious modifications.

I was curious about how these ShunQiRun OSKO CW limbs would look if their combiner pegs could fit the standard voyager torso, so I laid them on the table.

As both combined arms and legs:
    IMG_20210831_213402_edit_38394069741014.jpg IMG_20210831_220057_edit_11695295899255.jpg IMG_20210831_222714_edit_12901967108446.jpg

Looks best with Onslaught for me.

    As just combined legs:
    IMG_20210831_213727_edit_38378378902475.jpg IMG_20210831_214541.jpg IMG_20210831_215224_edit_15780491639777.jpg IMG_20210831_215512_edit_38283815321760.jpg

I think the OSKO legs with standard torso and arms improves the body proportions of the combiner.

The PTG / PTH abbreviation probably just comes from accidentally breaking up the syllables incorrectly after romanizing the word to "Putonghua". It was a film-festival catalogue where I first saw the term used and abbreviated as "PTG" (ironically, in Hong Kong).

Although the goal is uniformity, I'm sure there are regional PTH accents that are very recognizable, even to non-natives (the same way it doesn't take much to distinguish Parisian/Quebecois French, or Tokyo/Osaka Japanese, even for the uninitiated). In this case, the reviewer's tone seems much flatter and less enunciated than most of the Mandarin I hear online and in media. I was wondering if this was specific to a particular region, or if maybe he just mumbles more. :)
